Please rate my draft/team. WHIR

Postby money » Sun Sep 06, 2009 9:31 pm

I'm in an 8 team Yahoo head to head PPR keeper league and here is how my draft went.

1. (2) Matt Forte
2. (15) Maurice Jones-Drew This player is a keeper.
3. (18) Calvin Johnson (an owner wants to trade me Manning for him)
4. (31) Dwayne Bowe
5. (34) Marques Colston
6. (47) Pierre Thomas
7. (50) Kevin Smith
8. (63) Donovan McNabb
9. (66) Anthony Gonzalez
10. (79) Kellen Winslow (Just traded him for Owen Daniels)
11. (82) Reggie Bush (an owner wants to trade me Lynch for him or I might offer him for DeSean Jackson)
12. (95) Baltimore
13. (98) Matt Schaub
14. (111) Michael Crabtree
15. (114) Donald Brown

I have a ton of RB right now and no kicker, but I couldn't watch good running backs just sit on the board forever. I'm going to try to trade one for a WR too. I may even drop Donald Brown for Donnie Avery.

My starting lineup:
QB: McNabb
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Bowe
WR: Colston
RB: Jones-Drew
RB: Forte
TE: Owen Daniels

K: No one at the moment will probably grab Kris Brown off the FA's

Def: Bal

Bench:

Schaub

Anthony Gonzalez
Michael Crabtree

Pierre Thomas
Kevin Smith
Reggie Bush
Donald Brown

You have a buttload of RB's. I would try and package one of them (Thomas or Smith) and Bowe or Colston for an Elite WR (Fitz, Moss, AJ). Personnally I think your team looks great....even for an 8 man league you don't have any glaring weeknesses. Getting Manning would be great....but not at the expense of Megatron. Try and package McNabb and one of your lesser WR if you feel you absolutely have to have Manning.

I like your team, you should be very competitive. You might wanna try to shop a couple of your RB's and see if you could upgrade your WRs.. Other than that, good job!

You have a very deep, strong, team. I think you could afford to hold on to that RB depth and protect yourself from injuries because I think your WR core is pretty solid. That's just me, I have been killed by a RB injury many times and you are pretty much protected against this happening. I would take lynch for reggie bush though.

It looks like you have a very good team for the year. However, I would try and package a running back or two to bolster a different position having so many. Either way you are in great shape heading into the season, though keep an eye on McNabb as he is prone to hot and cold streaks.

It looks like you have a great team, but I'm not sure. I'm not used to playing in a 8-team league. I imagine that every team looks solid because 8 teams is pretty shallow. Even so, having Forte, MJD, and Calvin Johnson on the same team sounds killer.

I'm not sure any of the trades you discussed is really a big upgrade for you. I'd probably stay pat until RB start to get hurt. You'll probably get better value then.

Excellent team. I echo the sentiment of packaging a trade for an elite WR (FitzG would be the ideal target). Even without this, barring injury which can derail even the best draft, you are contending for the title.

Eval mine if you can:

thx for the help with mine.

your team looks really strong but in 8 team leagues all teams can win on any given sunday. id say that you could use a stronger te and that if you wanted to you could pkg a rb and owen daniels for witten. i think witten will be huge for ppr this year. otherwise try to pkg any of your bench rbs with colston to get andre johnson.

I agree about packaging a few RB for a WR you might even want to try that for a QB. I don't trust old McNabb.

love your team. you're overloaded on depth and i'm not 100% sold on your WRs, although they are very good. could you do some sort of package for a top-three receiver like fitz johnson or moss?
10 rushing yards - 1 pt
10 receiving yards - 1 pt
20 passing yards - 1 pt
All TDs - 6 pts (QBs favored)
