QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Steven Jackson
RB Brian Westbrook
RB/WR Thomas Jones
WR Greg Jennings
WR DeSean Jackson
TE John Carlson
D/ST Panthers D/ST
K Mason Crosby

Bench Donovan McNabb QB
Bench Matt Schaub QB
Bench Santonio Holmes WR
Bench Jerricho Cotchery WR
Bench Michael Crabtree WR
Bench LeSean McCoy RB
Bench Mark Clayton WR

I have been playing fantasy baseball for years but this is my first time playing fantasy football so any help would be appreciated. How can I improve my team? its a 10 team, standard H2H league. Something i believe might be noteworthy: Eagles D/ST is on the wire.

thanks in advance, WHIR if possible

This is a well designed team. You really don't wanna do much to it now. Carlson is a great player in what will probably be the last year you can get him late rounds. I would also stick with Carolina D over Philly. If you can trade one of your quarterbacks along with Desean Jackson for a top notch #2 WR and your team can contend for a title

Pretty much agreed with Arkk, except that I can't figure out why people still waste time with SJax. The guy never puts up what people think he will. I guess if he's the best available, but... I can't stand the guy.

I would probably drop Car's D for Philly's D. They're rated higher every where that I have looked, and I personally took them as the third or fourth D off the board in my draft this year. Plus with Car changing over to a 4-3 this year, I have some questions on how well they'll adjust.

But yeah, try to trade one of your QB's + a WR for a more legit #2 WR (or better, if you can). Obviously start with a high offer and see what they counter with, if anything. Your QB stable is amazing, actually. Someone will want McNabb or Schaub, but don't trade Rodgers.

There's a team in my league looking for a QB on the block. His roster:

QB Tony Romo,
RB Maurice Jones-Drew
RB Marion Barber
RB/WR Pierre Thomas
WR Andre Johnson
WR Dwayne Bowe
TE Zach Miller
D/ST Giants
K Rob Bironas
Bench Ahmad Bradshaw
Bench Eddie Royal
Bench Carson Palmer
Bench Kyle Orton
Bench Sammy Morris
Bench Jerious Norwood
Bench Neil Rackers

my Mcnabb and Desean Jackson probably wouldnt be worth his Andre Johnson right? do you think its a fair trade for Bowe? im not sure about values of the different positions since this is my first time with fantasy football haha thanks in advance

Andre Johnson has potential to be the best WR this year. It would take a lot to pull him from this guy. You are very deep in the QB position and Aaron Rogers is definitely a favorite of mine. Schaub is a fine back-up if he can stay healthy, so I think trying to dish off McNabb is really smart. However, this guy already has Tony Romo, so I'm not sure he would bail on such an elite WR to have extreme QB depth. Further more, in a year where there isn't extensive WR depth, I would be shocked if he went with your trade.

I would try finding a guy with a weaker QB and offering him McNabb for some increased power in either your WR or RB options. I'm not fired up about SJax or Westbrook. Both can be great, but get hurt often and usually disappoint. @ WR - Greg Jennings will be solid, but it wouldn't hurt to beef up that WR section some. Try getting a Dwayne Bowe, Marques Colston, Roddy White, Wes Welker level receiver. That would really help you I think.

And for kicks - what do you think of my squad? viewtopic.php?f=44&t=444656
