need to start: QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, W/R (flex), TE, K, DEF/ST
QBs: Matt Schaub (vs NYJ), Carson Palmer (vs DEN) WRs: Reggie Wayne (vs JAC), Marques Colston (DET), DeSean Jackson (@ CAR), Domenik Hixon (vs WAS) RBs: Matt Forte (@ GB), Darren McFadden (vs SD), Ray Rice (vs KC), Michael Bush (vs SD) FLEX: any of the left over WRs or RBs TEs: Dallas Clark (vs Jac), Zach Miller (vs SD) K: Nate Kaeding (@ OAK) DEF/ST: Steelers (vs TEN), Chargers (@ OAK)
....i guess my biggest question is what DEF/ST i should start. San Diego looks like a good start against the Raiders, but I feel like i didn't draft the Steelers' defense above the Chargers' defense for nothing. What do you guys think?
thank again in advance and feel free to link a link. 100% WHIR
I would start QB - Schaub WR - Wayne, Colston, Deshaun RB/Flex - Forte, McFadden, Rice TE - D Clark Defense - Pittsburgh - Tenn is going to have some issues moving the ball against them especially in Pitt, stick with them no reason to sit this defense especially against a weak offense outside it's RB's in tenn.
Don't really think you need help for starters besides your QB. If you start any besides the obvious at your other positions you're in for a long week.
I'd start Palmer. Schaub was injured in the pre-season and it could still be lingering plus Denver is terrible on DEF and the Jets DEF is legit. Plus, Cinci may have to rely on the throw more since Benson is a plug. With Slaton in Houston they may be a little more run/pass balanced.
QB - Brees, R Wilson RB - Turner, Morris, Mendenhall, Powell, Best WR - Ca.Johnson, Maclin, A Brown, T. Smith, Jeffery TE - Bennett K - Hartley DEF - Arizona
QB--If Schaub is back to 100% I'd start him. Otherwise go with Carson. I think you'll be happy with either throughout the year.
WRs--obviously Wayne, Colston, & Jackson. Not much doubt there.
RBs--Forte, McFadden, and Rice. Like Rice's matchup this week.
TE--Clark. No brainer.
D--PIT. Home opener with all the Super Bowl celebration, they are pissed at TEN, and if you get special teams points as well I LOVE Stefan Logan. That little dude is gonna make some noise this year in the return game.
Good luck!
Passing TDs = 4 All other TDs = 6 100 yd rushing bonus = 4 PPR All other basic scoring
Agree with the consensus of all the other starters, but you SHOULD start Palmer @ QB for week#1 vs a still porous Denver defense (albeit with Champ Bailey), as Schaub's mobility may be slightly compromised due to his sore ankle. That said, never, EVER hesitate starting PITT D/ST in ANY given week, let alone the season home opener against a team (TENN) that will certainly experience difficulty moving the ball through the air in the hostile and loud confines of Heinz Field.
