Alright quick background: the company that my dad works for is owned by 5 siblings, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. They all have an equal share (yuck). So the guy who is the president and does all the work (the other 4 do absolutely nothing, they just act like they do because they want money), was outta town for 5 weeks for the company trying to stir up some clients and the sisters get a wild hair and decide that they're gonna fire the president and rehire him a day or two later to "teach him a lesson" because they have the majority vote. The president is my dad's boss and close friend too btw. Well clearly considering he does all the work and was outta town on business for over a month when they fired him, he was pissed and when they told him they would rehire them he said more or less "screw you guys, I'm goin' home" and since he was an equal share they owe him like half a million dollars that they can't come up with because all of the company's accounts were through his name as the president so they are frozen and there's no money unless he says there's money... that includes payroll. And if they don't fix it very shortly (thursday) my Dad won't have a job. Jealous, rich snobs very potentially cost my dad his job in this economy?!?!?!?! It kinda sounds like since the Pres and my dad were good friends and my dad took care of all the finances for the company for almost a decade he's gonna help my dad out and give him a job when he opens up a new business with the money the company owes him but still, How ridiculous people can be is amazing.

Me, too. What did the pres do to "deserve" being taught a lesson?
And don't they know you don't bite the hand that feeds you?
The president didn't do anything, apparently the three daughters were trying to show him that they thought they had the power, which I guess in a way they do, but he played it well.
Still sucks if my dad loses his job though, which hopefully he won't.
That really sucks. Thank god the Brothers and father that own the business I work for all do a share of all the work running the business.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.

That really bites...maybe you'll see the sisters in a food line!
Best wishes to your dad...I'm sure the Pres will take care of him!
