Hester and Hightower for Cotchery?

Postby Gpop » Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:45 pm

Should I trade Hester and Hightower for Cotchery?

my WRs: Jennings, Ward, Hester, Muhammad, Jenkins
my RBs: Forte, Chris Johnson, Benson, Hightower

James Davis is also on the Free Agency so I would pick him up

No way.... Keep Hightower and Hester for sure.

Hightower is starting as the the feature back still and will prob end up retaining goaline work and who knows what will happen with the receivers for chicago... Hester is one of their top recievers and with cutler throwing you have to like hesters potential...

dont do it..

can you PLEASEEE help on mine?

You'll pick up my bias here, but Cutler's QB-rating was a whopping 1.7 points better than a certain oft-maligned D.C.-area QB that too many people wanted to throw under the bus this offseason. But avoiding that tangent, I'd also ask, how many years has it been since the Bears had a 1000-yd receiver? (2002: Marty Booker, right?) I'm not buying Hester.

So this trade to me is really about whether you think Hightower is more productive than Wells in Arizona this year. Even if he is, Hightower is still probably a low RB2, high RB3.

I see Cotchery as a solid WR3 and that makes him the best player in the deal in my book. I'd renegotiate this to see if you can get an even better deal, since I'm guessing the guy thinks he's swindling you at that asking price -- but push comes to shove, yes, I'd take Cotchery over BOTH.
