Meh. Remember . . . when Jones was sucking last year it was largely due to the fact that they didn't have a QB to stretch the field, or WRs to catch the ball. Last year playing at home vs the Rams (with Hass under center) Jones had 144 yards from scrimmage and a score.
Here's what ESPN had to say about Jones.
A few things we want you to keep in mind: One, he's in Gregg Knapp's offense, and Knapp was known for heavily using his running backs in his Atlanta days. Two, even if Edgerrin James steals carries, James didn't get a full preseason to adapt to the offense, meaning he might be worked in slowly, granting Jones the bulk of the September work. Three, and perhaps most important, St. Louis' defense ranked 29th against the run in 2008. Go nuts.
It's time to put down the crack-pipe and step away from the keyboard.
Overall I like Addai more, but this week I would start Jones. I think the Colts have offensive line issues, so I'm not sold on them. I think they could have production slips across the board on offense. Jones goes against a very week D, whereas Addai is splitting carries with a first rounder against a tough D. If there is one week to start Jones, this is it.

yep....one thing about Mora and his henchman is that they love to run the ball. The key to JJ's success is that he needs to get the ball early and continually fed to get him rolling. The only hit against JJ is what Sea will do in the red zone with him...not entirely sold on what will happen to JJ with Edge in the picture now. The nice thing about Addai is there is no secret to what the Colts do in the red zone....they either run it in, dump off to some one in the backfield or get the ball to Clark. What they dont' do is throw to Wayne...sorry bitter ex Wayne owner here. The Colts however love to rotate backs in the red zone....this is were I suspect we'll see Brown.
I like Jones... Addai should pick up steam in a couple weeks or lose steam. Jones vs. STL should be a good day... maybe not great but he really should have a better shot at a tudee

All I can say is . . . read the latest.
Rotowire wrote:Indianapolis head coach Jim Caldwell said he hasn't decided whether Addai or Donald Brown will be the short-yardage or goal-line running back, CBSSports.com reports. Spin: Caldwell said he'd likely go with whichever back is in the game, but this has to be a blow to Addai's fantasy value since as the stater it would seem to be implied that he'd get the bulk of goal-line carries. Addai has converted just 32 percent of his goal-line carries in his career, which is below average, so there's reason to think Brown could get the bulk of goal-line work.
