It is a very tough choice. I think given your options you might take a flier on J Stew. Yes White is probably the best of your backup RBs, but he is going against the very tough Steelers D. Bell was hot in the preseason (unfortunately against my Texans, but whatever) but that might not translate into the regular season, even against lowly Detroit. Now Stewart's matchup against the Eagles isn't much better, but it is a little bit, and he's in roughly the same situation as White is, RB1b, bigger back, gets the goal line touches. Factor all that in and I'd go with Stewart.
i would go Lendale for the sheer fact that your decision to play one of them has to be made by tommorow and even though it is a very tough matchup Lendale could still punch one in. Mike bell may have no part in the offense if PT is a go, which is still a possibility
I would play mike Bell. I think Thomas is going to sit. and, even if he doesn't, PIT is not going to give up much on the ground and Lendale is not going to be worth much. Therefore, I would take the risk and hope that Bell gets 15 carries or so against the horrid Lions defense.
anyone else....also offer your opinions/findings on the pierre thomas situation...it doesnt look good for him right now...too bad for him but better for me...also JStew practiced today so i think i feel better at not starting lendale if i have him to fall back on as well if bell doesnt work out either
