Turner & Breaston for AP

Postby outsideoftime » Wed Sep 09, 2009 2:32 pm

I have AP and Chris Johnson for my starting backs

I was offered Michael Turner and Steve Breaston for AP.

On many levels Turner is better than AP. Breaston isn't much of sweetener but he could have a big year if Boldin durablity continues to be an issue.

What do you think? Should I have him throw in Brandon Marshall and I add Michael Jenkins or Chris CHambers?

I would keep AP for sure! The vikings will be much better offensively this year!

Keep AP unless he throws in at least Marshall. Breaston is not nearly enough to give up the #1 pick. Marshall and Turner for AP and Jenkins is pretty fair, IMO. If he declines, who cares, you get to root for one of the most exciting RBs in the game. It would be sweeter if you gave him Chambers, but it's up to you. Marshall's value is kind of low right now because of his injury and situation. His upside is that of a #1 though.

Is Marshall going to be damaged because of Orton?

He might not be the same dominant WR with Cutler, but he still has much more upside and talent than Breaston.

I like team B. Hopefully Marshall keeps his head on straight. Saw something on ESPN last night saying how he stopped with the shenanigans and actually practiced pretty well.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

Im a big fan of AP and probably wouldn't trade him away for that, but if you want to its not too bad. You could use Marshall.

This is a tough one. I like your Team "B" better as well as your receiving is beefed up, but...I like your RB situation better in team "A". Thus the whole point of this thread right! LOL

Giving up AP is a tough call. How many teams are in your league? I only ask as there might be a gem on the wire that could help you out. Does this deal end after week 1? Someone might emerge after this week. I'd just would hate to give him up so quickly. I'd stick with "A" for one week and then evaluate.

Yeah the trade wouldn't clear until after week one anyway.

In all honesty I might have taken Turner number one if it was a live draft (I had him ranked 2).

I think my recievers need help, surely someone will arise that can help me out. I guess I'm just looking for instant gratification. I'd love to have a Marshall or Boldin or Colston with my team.

There are 10 teams.
