Odd League Configuration - How did I do?

Postby mightyjevan » Wed Sep 09, 2009 2:47 pm

It's a 10-team Yahoo! draft with mostly standard scoring, but the roster spots are:
QB WR WR WR RB RB TE WR/TE K DEF

By the time the draft ended, there were quite a few decent backs available, but we were scraping the bottom of the barrel for receivers. I had the #2 pick. Let me know what you think, I'll help you in return.

QB McNabb
RB Adrian Peterson
RB Ryan Grant
WR Steve Smith
WR T.J. Housh
WR Eddie Royal
TE Visanthe Sciancoe
WR/TE Devin Hester
K Josh Brown
DEF Minnesota
BN Jonathan Stewart
BN Cedric Benson
BN Chris Henry
BN Chester Taylor
BN David Garrard

That is a very, very solid team.. AD with the second in standard scoring is nice.. I think that McNabb, who I own in my only league this year, is going to be great. You could use a little more depth at RB, but you should be alright since you only start two. You WR's are solid and I think that you have enough depth there that one of those bottom three is going to step up and look like a great value pick by the end of the year. My opinion is that it is going to be Henry or Royal, Royal if Orton stays healthy.

I think that your team is really solid and will be even better if JStew can get healthy and start to post numbers like he did last season, then you will have either trade bait or a question each week on who to start, which isn't a bad thing. I really like Grant this year, he was banged up all year last year, had a bad hamstring and still produced 1200 yards rushing. I see him getting 1500 yards and 10-12 tds this year, and GB shouldn't be in as many shoot outs as they were last year. I'm also pretty high on C. Henry and think that he will have a big year and will be a great bye week fill in for you. Overall a pretty solid team. Good luck.
