Westbrook/McCoy for MJD/JonStewart VETOABLE?

Postby deepstrike » Wed Sep 09, 2009 3:29 pm

Huge flaming firestorm on my leagues chat board about whether this trade should be vetoed:

Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy for Maurice Jones-Drew and Jonathan Stewart.

This is a PPR league not that it makes a huge difference here. I think the consensus feel that it is heavily lopsided to the MJD/JS side but we can't seem to decide if it's vetoable. Worse, our league commish is getting MJD/JS.

Chime in plz.

To be honest I think this is a fairly fair deal, and most definetly not a vetoable trade.

The way I look at it is Jonathan Stewart has a bum achilles tendon and has yet to practice much and play in any preseason game, plus he is behind Deangelo who in my opinion is a top 4 running back.

MJD is good, but this is his 1st year with a full load, and we do not know for sure how he will react to a full load and what he will do with that.

Westbrook is a very good player and, if healthy, is an amazing player that will put up huge points every week. And if he does go down the manager will have McCoy, his backup.

I mean I would rather have the MJD/Jstew Side, but I can see the reasoning for the person trading them, and it is not a vetoable trade.

A vetoable trade is something like this:
Adrian Peterson
FOR
Antonio Gates
Fred Jackson

Something extremely lopsided such as that.

Not vetoable. I can make arguments for both sides, as fantasybeast27 has, which in itself makes this a non-vetoable trade.

I dont really think its vetoable... I definitely favor the MJD side, but you never really know.
