10 Team league, where do I need help

Postby dblj9911 » Wed Sep 09, 2009 4:09 pm

This is a 10 team league, 6pt rush / rec td, 0.5ppr, QB-s 4pt passing td, 1 pr per completion, -1 pt per incomplete. So with the completions the qb's can score some big points each week. We had our draft on Sunday night and my team is solid, but I have some injury risks on my roster. Where do I need to improve? How do you think my team will do?
We start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1WR/RB, 1TE, 1K, 1DEF
My Team: (rd drafted)
QB- Brady(2nd), Hasselbeck(11th)
RB- LT (1st), Portis(3rd), Grant(4th), Wells(8th), Hightower(13th), Benson(10th)
WR- Marshall(6th), A. Gonzo(7th), Berrian(9th), C. Henry(12th), Mason(14th)
TE- Dallas Clark (5th)

To me my team is a big injury risk, I had the 10th pick and LT was there, but from all reports he is healthy, I'm not expecting him to score 20+tds, but have slightly better numbers than last year. Portis I know he has the wear and tear, but couldn't pass him up in the 3rd rd. Marshall is the big problem, is he gets his head out of his a$$ and produces like he has then I will be alright. I really like Grant, he was banged up all year last year and still had 1200 yards, so I'm expecting a much better year out of him this year. Thanks for looking.

Your team is good but I think that you are going to need help in WR. I would try to package one of your lower RB's and Marshall to get a elite who is not suspension prone. I have no faith in him and I think that he is going to have a typical TO last year in town type of year. Think TO in Philly or Randy in Oakland.

I would be concerned with your depth at WR. I think that taking Dallas Clark (or any TE for that matter) that early in the draft is a mistake as the position is crazy deep this year, and WR is not. That being said, you have a few upside picks (Gonzo, Henry) that could pull through and be good 2nd receivers. Marshall is a complete enigma, and like negame I worry that he is going to underwhelm. You are quite deep at RB with some good value picks that I would try to package to get a top receiver (Colston, Bowe, etc.).

Thanks for the feedback on my team.

I got stuck in the same situation.. I had the last pick in our 8 person draft. Picked up LT and larry fitz.

I think LT is a good pick from the reports that i've been reading. A bit of a risk.
