Just drafted in my 10 team league and ended up not taking a defense or kicker because there was so much talent still available. Alas, I have to drop 2 players to pick up a kicker/defense for the week.
Start 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF
My team: QB - Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer RB - Brandon Jacobs, Ryan Grant, Ray Rice, Knowshown Moreno, Leon Washington, Willis McGahee, LeSean McCoy WR - Randy Moss, Marques Colston, Chad Ocho Cinco, Earl Bennett, Chris Henry TE - Dallas Clark K - none DEF - none
Who do I drop?!?
Team 1- Start:1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1DEF QB: Delhomme, Schaub RB: Portis, Westbrook, D Williams, Buckhalter WR: Edwards, S Smith, Evans, R Moss TE: Witten, Shockey K: Crosby DEF: Tenn, SD
Yeah, they aren't guys that would normally be dropped, but they have the least upside of anyone on your team. McGahee is no longer the starter and will probably get hurt, and Henry is an idiot who will probably get suspended at some point.
McGahee has a huge contract and that will make him the defaco starter over the others but none will be great backs to use.
I'd drop Rice and Washington personally. I'd avoid the Balt RB's but seeing how you ahve 2 I'd keep Willis over Ray. Also, Washington isn't going to see many carries in the NYJ's this season so I don't see much value in him unless TJ gets hurt. You KNOW that Westy is going to miss time and McCoy has looked great in the pre-season so he should be nealry as good as Westy when Westy is out (meaning McCoy would be a top 10 RB those weeks). Given that you have Jacobs, Grant and Moreno to choose from as you starters I wouldn't be too worried about the rest of your RB's.

Rice was named the starter so you have to drop Willis over him and starting 3WRs and 2RBs you should probably drop McCoy or Washington as well

Hmm, I didn't see that about Rice, then I'd keep him over Willis obviously. I'd still drop Washington and keep McCoy. I think McCoy has a much greater chance of actually starting and putting up significant numbers in a week over Washington given the relative health of Jones and Westy.

+1
McGahee is done.
Henry is everyone's sleeper pick every single year, and every single year he misses practices, sleeps in on gameday, gets arrested, and does every dumb thing he can imagine. The guy is a complete moron who does not even try to get better at the game. The dumb@$$ has never even been in the weightroom. A stiff breeze would knock the punk over. He is the single biggest waste of god-given talent in the NFL.
I believe Leon Washington will have a bigger role in the Jets' offense this year.
McCoy is valuable as he is the backup to the oft injured Westbrook.
QB: M. Ryan, C. Palmer RB: M. Forte, R. Grant, R. Bush, R. Rice, C. Buckhalter, J. Davis WR: A. Johnson, M. Colston, D. Hester, J. Gage, S. Smith (NYG) TE: C. Cooley K: M. Prater DEF: SD
Definitely drop Henry because you already have Ochocinco. Also Drop Magahee because Rice is the starting and the best option in that backfield. Dont put too much into the handcuff if you have other great options to use anyways.
