Team got pissed cause we Veto'd A Trade. Thoughts Please!

Team 1
Rank for WR - 2 Maurice Jones-Drew - Est. fantasy points based on our league - 451.2
WR - 34 Jonathan Stewart Est. fantasy points based on our league - 195.1

Total Estimated Fantasy points= 646.3

Team 2

WR 13 Brian Westbrook Est. fantasy points based on our league - 312.9
WR 46 LeSean McCoy Est. fantasy points based on our league - 164.3

Total Estimated Fantasy points= 477.2

IN SUMMARY - Total rank for Team 1 = 36
Total rank for Team 2 = 59
Total More Fantasy Points for Team 1 = 169.1

Thus - team 2 would be foolish to make this treade..
stats speak for themselves.

Commissioner said "you better get that first trade out of the way each because its not going to count for jack shit because i'm insta veto'ing it

rich you were right, league votes is complete bullshit"

Thoughts? Opinions?

Should this trade have been Veto'd. Should Commissioner have final say or should league Veto STAND!

I don't know the particulars of each team but I don't see anything wrong with the trade. I would rather have the Westy McCoy part of it. Starting and stud backup for mjd & an injury prong stewart. MJD still has a lot to prove being the lone back. I'm not sold on him especially in the last half of the season. I don't think many would have vetoed that.

0% vetoable. and tell your commish to grow the f up and stop managing the league like a 3 year old.

let owners manage their teams, not the league.

shouldn't have been vetoed. A healthy Westy is a top back and his backup would be a beast if Westy would go down.

I'd take the MJD side of that trade, but it's a classic upside-for-safety trade. No way it should be vetoed.

That's not a good trade at all for the guy getting Westy, but it shouldn't be vetoed.

The fact that you are totaling up points and comparing them tells me you shouldn't be consdering vetoing *any* trades. Including this one.

No collusion or NOT lopsided = NO VETO.

Sure MJD is projected to be "king ding a ling" but the experts said the same about Addai last year. Many of us wasted a 3rd overall pick on him. Westy healthy is fantasy gold. Some think he'll get hurt again but most of us aren't doctors so what the hell do we know? Stewart is hurt too with a lingering injury and could be hit or miss. There are lots of questions surrounding these guys and the managers involved should be able to make deals based on what they feel will happen in 2009. Obviously the MJD owner is having buyer's remorse since MJD just got hurt last week and might not be able to handle 300 carries (see Addai). Maybe the Westy owner thinks Westy will get hurt again and doesn't trust rookie running backs. In any case this should go through although I'm one of the guys who thinks the owner getting MJD is getting the better side of the deal. Again though...what the hell do I know? I drafted Addai, Colston, Palmer, and Winlsow in 1 league last year..LOL! Let the chess games go on. $.02
