Drop Chet Taylor or Lewis to buff my Def for this week?

Postby fasttwitch » Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:03 am

I'm in a standard 10-team plain vanilla ESPN league with a coming matchup ESPN predicts as a "Push" for this weekend.
It's my best friend and I need to beat him.

My drafted defense, the Eagles, are projected good for the season overall, but not expected to do well this weekend against Carolina (only 3 points). My buddies defense (Ravens) is projected for 10 points.

My bench is stocked (see below) and the question is "should I drop ANY of these guys before game 1 to grab the Seattle Seahawks defense for this week, against St. Louis, where they should do well?"

My bench flexibility seems low:
I have 2 handcuff RB's (Chet Taylor for AP; Bradshaw for Brandon Jacobs),
2 more RBs (Jonathan Stewart and Jamal Lewis),
a backup QB (Garrard)
2 extra WR's (Steve Breaston and Percy Harvin).

WOULD YOU DROP ANYONE FROM THIS BENCH, OR DROP MY EAGLES DEF to get a better defense for the week 1 matchup?

WHIR

My regular starters are as shown (QB-McNabb; RB-APeterson; RB2-Brandon Jacobs; Flex-Julius Jones; WR1-Reggie Wayne; WR2-Dwayne Bowe; TE: Greg Olsen; Def: Eagles; K: Neil Rackers

Drop Garrard, In a 10 team league he should still be around, or someone equal to him when you need the bye week fill
