PPR Trade Advice

Postby em0909153 » Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:34 am

I am in a 12 team PPR league, we play 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex (WR/RB), 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF. My team is currently this.

QB - Kurt Warner
WR - Wes Welker
WR - Anquan Boldin
WR - Kevin Walter
RB - Adrian Peterson
RB - Pierre Thomas
Flex - Lee Evans
TE - Zach Miller
K - Ryan Longwell
DEF - Pittsburgh
Bench - Beanie Wells
Bench - Ernest Graham
Bench - Bobby Engram
Bench - Mike Bell
Bench - James Davis
Bench - Matt Hasselbeck

I was offered Tony Romo, TJ Houshmandzadeh and Dominick Hixon for Wes Welker and Matt Hasselbeck. It seems like an interesting trade that I need to think about assuming I can turn around and trade one of the QB's. What do you guys thing? Thanks.

Well Welker is an excellent ppr player but he has some type of injury which there not saying what. I assume he will be fine. The trade is deniniteyl fair & maybe good for you being both your QB's are likely to stay healthy, especailly Hass, he is solid while healthy but has been banged up the past couple years. Personally Id make the trade, not sure about Hixon but TJ & Romo will both be good this year. gluk

I think it is an upgrade at QB. Both Warner and Hasselbeck are inj. prone so having Romo will be a nice safety net.

TJ and Welker are very similar. You know what you are getting with Welker 100 rec. 1,000 yrds and around 5 TD's.

TJ's upside is a bit higher than welker in my book. I would do the trade.

Interesting. You don't need Romo or Hixon, both will be on your bench. So really the trade is Welker for Housh. Both players, I think, peaked last year. Both are over-valued (But still great!). Housh is with a new team whose QB is banged up and that makes playing him risky. Hang on to Welker, you don't need the risk that Housh presents. The other guys are bench players and are inconsequential.
