Drop Ward at Flex? WHIR

Postby AngryFraggle » Fri Sep 11, 2009 7:39 am

In a league with a very early draft, I drafted D. Ward. Now that that's turned into a 3 RB game, I regret it.

I can drop D. Ward (who would otherwise be my flex) and add any of the following:

M. Bell (v. DET, for a one week play)
D. Brown, going forward.
C. Williams, going forward (at least he is named the starter)
L. Maroney (stretch, but available)
W. McGahee (ditto.)

For WRs -- L. Moore and J. Morgan are also available.

Leave well enough alone? Or drop Ward and add one of them? Scoring is (.5 PPR, 20 rec. yds /pt and 10 rus. yds / pt).

Thanks, and leave a link ;-D

I'd probably drop Ward and pickup Donald Brown, although a wait and see would be nice with him... if you think you can pick up Bell this week and still have decent options next week, he's clearly the safest bet for this week. I'd do that if you are pretty sure you'll be able to get Ward back or pickup Brown after Sunday.

As far as the WRs go, I don't like either of them as much, but I'd currently take Moore between the two, I'd want to wait and see with Morgan, SF is going to run a lot, particularly this week, and Morgan had a quiet preseason.

i personally would hang onto ward. they didnt pay him a ton of money to give him 5 carries a game. it'll work itself out, and you really think caddy can stay healthy?

unless you're hurting for a RB this week to fill out your lineup, i'd hang onto Ward too. Cadillac probably won't hold up for very long and either way IMO Ward will prevail as the better back. But if you are desperate for a good one week starter then Bell, I think, will be a great start this week playing the Lions with PT out.

I like Ward, I also think Brown could be a good option if Addai goes down, I don't get why people are so low on him right now though. Like someone above me said Bell would be a good one week pickup, then waiver him for Ward back if you can.
