Quick QB Help WHIR

Postby house2750 » Fri Sep 11, 2009 10:06 am

So I have Schaub as my starter in two leagues. Behind him are Palmer vs Denver and Hasselbeck vs StL. I'm leaning toward starting both of my backups this week. They both have plum matchups and Schaub's ankle scares me. Right choice?

I would go with Schaub. Kubiak says he looked good in practice and I know they won;t start him if he is slightly hurt.

I would go with Hass this week. He has a great receiving core now and an awesome matchup.

I'm biased, but I am also going with Hass this week at home vs. St.L - should have a big day.

Schaub will have some difficulty against the Jets, who have a great secondary. Rex Ryan will have some nice blitz packages lined up for him. I feel Hass is the safe play here.

Any advice on my other league where Palmer is the backup?

Hasselbeck is an awesome matchup; I am starting him over my regular starter (Matt Ryan) in one of my leagues as well.

However, I'm not totally sold on Schaub's health being a problem this week. He's been a full participant in their last 2 practices and seems good to go. I would start him over Palmer, though it's admittedly somewhat of a crapshoot.

Realistically, all 3 QBs have favorable matchups this week, so you're in decent shape either way. But my gut tells me Schaub over Palmer, Hasselbeck over Schaub.

Thanks for the help with mine!
