Bush, Westbrook or McFadden

Postby TALLDAD » Sat Sep 12, 2009 10:05 am

I'm having a hard time deciding between these three backs any help would be great. WHIR

R. Bush: With out Thomas and against the Lions could be a great match up unless the Saints jump on them early and decide to ride Bell the rest of the game.

B. Westbrook: How much is he really going to play in this game after not practicing much?

D. McFadden: Could explode with a big game but it is the Raiders.

I'm leaning more towards Westbrook because I see that game being closer.

Mcfadden. I think Oakland is going to run all night. I don't think Russell is there yet

thanks for the help on mine!

i looked at your post earlier, and decided not to answer, because I really don't know.

My gut says that McFadden is the best play out of the bunch.

But, I would probably still play Westbrook. The eagles are only as good as westy, and although the matchup is tough, i think i would give him the start.

thanks.

I would go with Westbrook, because he is a stud when healthy. This is the first game of the year so he is healthy. He doesn't need to play preseason. He's been with the eagles for ever and knows the playbook. As long as he is practicing then he is a go

Thanks for the help on mine ;-D

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm leaning Bush in a PPR. This may be the only time you use him all year, with Pierre (I've got him on 2 of my teams :~( ) out. The stars are aligned for a big day....great matchup, at home, Pierre out...plus you are a PPR league. Yes, Mike Bell is there and will get carries, including, possibly, goalline. But I just can't see them leaning heavily on him...Bush gets at least 60% of the RB touches, and against Detroit, makes the most of them.

You wouldn't go wrong w/ Westy if you started him...again, PPR good for him. I might hold off on McFadden. Could definitely be a nice start, esp. since he's been declared starter, but SD is tough defense, and he has a few more ?s than the other guys.

Thanks for helping with mine. I go in this order Westy, Bush and ....thats it. I think they are pretty even but like you said the eagles/panthers game will be close. I am worried that NO gets way out in front of Detroit and shuts Bush down to protect his knee. And i can't start anyone from Oak.....
