Matt Hasselbeck vs STL

Ive got a similar dilemma with Shaub and Hass going for me this week...

I would take a wait and see approach on Matty Ice for his Sophomore year for now. It's not like you are starting Garrard instead of Ryan.

Between Schaub and Hass... Im starting Hass. I have heard that the Texans are going to focus their offese on running at Gholston and throwing to Slaton out of the backfield. Hass plays the Rams in Sea where he owns them routinely...

Slim chace of a complete bust no matter which way you go but I vote for Hass
QB- Vick
RBs- Forte, Sproles, Martin, K Smith, Ronnie Brown
WRs- Welker, D-Jax, Britt, Mike Williams, Lance Moore, LaFell
TE- Gonzo

I am taking Schaub out of the picture here as NYJ has just pumped up their D with imports from Ravens along with Rex Ryan at helm.

With that said there remains two Matts. I would go with Hasselbeck as I see him desperate to start his comeback by conquering on STL. Ryan is good no doubt, but he is not a fantasy star.

The Shaub/Hasselbeck combo I think is pretty popular this year. This week I'd roll with Hass. I would expect him to be as healthy and as ready as possible in Week 1 against the Rams.

honestly schaub is the only clear cut #1 QB there imo. hass and ryan still have to provbe themselves to me. i expect the seahawks to throw a lot less against STL than they normally will so i actually feel that this isn't the week that hass throws for 3 tds. i predict 2 tds and an int for schaub so if you think hass will do better (say, 2 tds and no ints) then start him.

wow there is all sorts of fail in this post. I would play both Schaub and Ryan over Hass without even thinking about it.

Ryan
Schaub
Hass

Thats the correct order.

Thinking more about this, I think you have to play either Ryan or Schaub. Hass is playing the lowly Rams, and honestly I think they'll destroy them. That means a lot more JJ and Edge, and a lot less of Hasselbeck. Both Ryan and Schaub are playing tougher defenses, but are also playing better teams with a higher probability of playing a closer game, which means the emphasis on passing will likely be there throughout the game.

I don't think that you'll regret it if you went with Hass, I can see at least 250 yds and 2 scores early on when the hawks take a lead and hold it, but the upside I think is higher with Ryan and Schaub, at least for yardage.

Help with mine?

Im a Lions fan. When teams came in all they did was run the ball, kill us and the clock at the same time, and get out of there as fast as possible.
