I'm in a PPR & PPC keeper where we start 2-QB, 2-RB, 3-WR, 2-W/R, 2-TE, 2-K, 2-Def. My Roster: QB-Cutler, Leftwich, Pennington, Henne RB-Barber, Felix Jones, Grant, Hightower, Edge, Brandon Jackson WR-Bennett, Stuckey, Galloway, Meachem, Washington, Burleson, Clayton, Massaquoi, Barden TE-Scaife, Keller K-Longwell, Tynes Def-Colts, Raiders
I've been offered Warner, Rice, McClain, Holt for my Cutler, Bennett, Keller or Sanchez, Royal & a 3rd round pick for my Cutler and Bennett or DeSean and Rice for Cutler
should I even be entertaining these offers? I really am up in the air, I'm tempted but not. WHIR, thanks for the help.
This is a really tough call. I definitly don't think you're in a position to lose a QB, so i'd throw the third offer out the window. I think the second offer is the best overall. In the first offer don't like giving up keller even though I think rice will be a great back to have down the road and warner is an improvement on cutler. getting sanchez in a keeper league given the QB's you have could be huge. i honestly don't think he's a better or worse play now than cutler either, and a third round pick next year is pretty cool.
i think that will be the case overall, but sanchez is an improvement on cutler (i know i know, a rookie... but its CUTLER) you gotta figure too that royal is a beast after the catch so he's got to eventually put up numbers. i think if your chances this year arent for a guaranteed playoff spot, i'd do it. you're not losing that much now but your definite gains (third rounder) and potential upside (sanchez, especially if the jets get another WR) makes the 2nd option a solid trade

can't believe you could get any of those deals after Cutler's horrid night last night. IMO i think Cutler will be an average QB at best. You saw it last night, they passed WAYYYYY more then they will on any given week, Forte is there bread and butter and after last night they will see that and get back to the running game cuz it was actually much more productive then the passing game last night.
Trade 1: Warner>>Cutler, Rice>>Keller valuewise, Holt=Bennett. if you did this deal you would get an upgrade at 3 positions and down grade at one. This is the best pure value deal, no way do the Cards struggle like they did yesterday all year. Warner is outright the better fantasy QB then Cutler and Rice will end up a top 15 fantasy RB at worst, combo that with your 2nd best RB behind MB3. Holt is just as good if not better value then Bennett still even given his age. And i mean yes Keller is a great young TE, but come on its TE you can fill it given the upgrades you get everywhere else.
Trade 2: Sanchez is in no way on the same level as Cutler yet, maybe at the end of the season but this is the deal breaker for me. Rookie QBs are somewhat inconsistent and there is no telling what the future holds for him, at least with Cutler you know the only way he can go is up. I do like the upgrade from Bennett to Royal, but i still don't think its enough to do it.
Trade 3: No way simply because i don't think you can win enough games with Lefty/Penny as your starters over Lefty/Cutler or Lefty/Warner or Lefty/Sanchez can. I would definitely pass on the 3rd deal.
I really think you upgrade at enough positions to do the first deal, and i don't see Cutler coming anywhere CLOSE to what hes done in the past. I for see a couple blow up big weeks, but then coupled with alot of mediocre games and a few HORRID games like last night. I would take deal 1 and run with it...

Well I should win this week (I'm 63 points up with my opponent having Trent Edwards and Watson playing tonight) and 5th in scoring to this point for the week and that was with Leftwich, Burleson and Clayton on the bench and Leftwich was my top scorer. 8 of 12 teams make the playoffs too so there's a very real possibility I'll make the playoffs. Yet I'm still tempted because I agree with Royal.
I would pass on these offers, if you need to start 2 qb's and it is a keeper league, Cutler is a much better option than anything you have. If you make the Warner trade there is no guarantee that he is healthy and will even make it through the full season. Stick with him, it is one game, I think he had a lot of pressure on him to produce in his first game.
