Time for a new D/ST? WHIR

Postby markulous » Mon Sep 14, 2009 6:12 pm

I have Chicago and Carolina(we're required to keep 2 D/ST in our league but that'll change next year). Standard scoring. Both seem hurt with injuries now. Do I drop one and pick another one up? Seahawks or Cardinals are tempting to pick up but I'm not sure. Here's the teams that are available:

Seahawks
Broncos
Lions
Browns
Cardinals
Chiefs
Saints
Rams
Redskins
Bengals
Buccaneers
Bills

I'd drop Car for Sea. But maybe hang onto Chi for another week or 2 or swap them for Tam. If Tampa can get the secondary healthy, they didn't look bad against Dallas. Pretty much the same story for Chi, they did ok and look to get better if they get healthy.

Now that I looked at it dropping Carolina for Seattle isn't a bad idea. Seattle has some nice matchups and Carolina's schedule looks kinda crappy.

I would swap Carolina for Seattle.

Washington is available, I'd take them over Chicago or Carolina - they do play STL this week.

Seattle plays in the NFC West, which means you get that juicy schedule twice a year. Drop Carolina for them

Looking at it now WAS has some great matchups from week 2-6. STL, KC, DET, CAR, TB. I think they might be better in the short run.
