I certainly wouldnt play Cassel this week but i would play Bowe over Evans...if Bowe can catch a TD @ Bal's home opener with a backup QB, i would expect him to do the same at KC's home opener with the starting QB...

Cassel might lose starting job? What the heck? He got paid all that money. This may be a ploy by a new head coach, but really - why?

Chiefs quarterback job still up for grabs, coach says
By KENT BABB

Kansas City Star

KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Chiefs coach Todd Haley liked some of what Matt Cassel did on Sunday, but there weren't enough good examples for Haley to say that Cassel will be the starting quarterback for the rest of the season and beyond.
Haley said that, like all other positions, the quarterback job will remain available to the most proficient player - regardless of salary, name or background.

"You've got to ultimately do what gives your team the best chance to win," Haley said yesterday. "If that means another quarterback being in there other than Matt Cassel, then sign me up."

It's a ploy. As to why- well, why did he push Bowe out of the starting lineup?

It most certainly is a ploy, by a coach who realizes he has to sink to reverse psychology to actually get his players to play to win. KC is a sad franchise..
