Per CBS: Giants WR Steve Smith validated the starting job he won this preseason by leading the team with six catches for 80 yards in the season opener against the Redskins. He had twice as many catches as any other Giants receiver.
Tough call, hard to give up two #1's, on their Team, for one player...might leave an even bigger hole in your roster... :-?
Don't give up the ship...........sell it!!

I definately like Megatron more than Boldin.

Not sure about Brown & Grant - if Miami wants to win, they are going to figure out that they need to get the ball into the hands of their best player - and that's Brown. Maybe it's the Bears fan in me, but I just don't see Grant as a "special" back.

I do think you definately need to improve your WR corps.

With the RB on your roster in a 16 team league, I like:

RB MJD, Brown/Grant
Flex Stewart
WR Megatron, Burelson

Much more than I like:

RB MJD, Brown
Flex Stewart
WR Boldin, Burelson

Anyway you cut it, your roster as is can probably afford to lose Grant or Brown - I think both end up w/ simialr numbers when all is said and done.

If you could turn either of those guy + a throw in piece into Megatron, I would do that rather than a 1 for 1 deal for Boldin.

Thanks for all the help everyone! I just proposed Brown/Smith (NYG) for his Megatron. He's a rookie so I have a feeling he won't do this but we'll see..... He's projected to lose both his games this week (we are 16-team league so we play 2 games a week) by about 30 pts. If he won't do it, I guess i'll offer Grant and some WR for Megatron.

I'd try Brown for Boldin first.

My apologies tracyjesq for getting back so late. I appreciated the help you gave me on mine.

For what it is worth (even knowing you've already proposed a trade) I would have suggested offering up a two for one where he gives up the two players for your one. I wouldn't have gone with C. Johnson like the others suggested, but that is only because you already have two WRs on your roster with the same bye week as him.

If it comes back around and they other owner is still wanting grant, then offer Grant for Boldin and Hester/Curtis. You mentioned he was a rookie so try explaining that his team is lacking any strength at RB (no RB1 or RB2 - even with P. Thomas on his roster). While you do need some help at WR, you are better off keeping Grant then making a straight up trade for Boldin or CJ.

As it stands now, especially in a 16 team league, you're not in as bad of shape as you might think.

I like the idea of starting:

QB - Palmer

RB - MJD, R. Brown

WR - S. Smith (NYG), N. Burleson/J. Gage (depending on matchups)

Flex - R. Grant (Stewart on Grants Bye)

and however you want to fill out the rest of your roster. I suppose this was just a long-winded way of saying not to make any trade.

I so appreciate everyone's help. He rejected my Brown/Smith for CJ offer. He says I'm offering him 2 of my bench players for his #1 WR. He's a rookie so I have a feeling he will reject any reasonable offer. He'll learn when he gets his arse kicked!

So now do I go back with another offer. Now, I'm thinking (as the above poster wrote) maybe i should just stay put. I can just play matchups with my WRs.

What about trying to get TO? Is he valuable and what do you think would be fair to get him? I think he wants too much for Boldin or CJ. Will the WRs I have be just as reliable as TO?
