Trade & Waiver Q's C. Palmer, J. Cotchery, and R. White

Postby wad3g » Tue Sep 15, 2009 9:57 am

I need help on whether I should unleash this trade. I trade Carson Palmer and Jerricho Cotchery for Roddy White.

My Team
QB: Matt Hasselbeck
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Wes Welker
WR: Jerricho Cotchery
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: Pierre Thomas
TE: John Carlson
Bench: Carson Palmer
Bench: Anthony Gonzalez
Bench: Jonathan Stewart
Bench: Mike Bell
Bench: LeSean McCoy

This is a 12-team league, 6 points rush,rec,passing TD's, 25 Passing yds = 1 point, 10 rush/rec yds = 1 point.
Do I take this risk? I'm just not sure if Hasselbeck is ready to be an every week fantasy starter but I think I significantly improve my WR's.

If this trade doesn't go through should I drop Palmer, McCoy, etc. for Larry Johnson on the waiver? I'm hate that Gonzalez got hurt, but not only because I can't use him but I think he is going to be to valuable to just drop.

Leave your forum link, questions, and I'll throw you my opinion in there.
QB: Ben Roethlisburger
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Dez Bryant
WR: Jeremy Maclin, Robert Meachem
RB: Darren McFadden, Michael Bush
RB: Michael Turner, Daniel Thomas, Ryan Torain
TE: Jimmy Graham

I think so.. i like Hasselback a lot this year with housh he seems ready to go, you could say that "Hassel is Back" Roddy White probably wont produce as much as last season with Tony Gonzalez being a new toy for Matt Ryan to with. Even tho Cotch looked great im still not sold on Mark Sanchez as a sustainable fantasy QB for you WRs sell cotch high and get a proven entity in White. Palmer and the Bengals Suck.

I don't seem the other owner accepting this trade, unless he desperately needs a qb and has the wr depth to take the hit of going from White to Cotchery. I think that you would be better off sitting still right now with your team, Palmer was a little rusty, he basically hasn't played in a year, and they dropped some passes on him. So I only see Palmer and the Bengals offense getting better each week. With Hasselbeck I'm not sure I would totally trust him just yet, they did play St. Louis, so wait and see what happens when they play a team with a better defense. Stick with your team for now.

Id do the trade actually..you upgrade in Wr which is a plus. At the Qb position, i actually like Hasselbeck this year..if he can limit his turnovers, hes defintely worth a starting fantasy football start

The owner needs a QB, he has Donovan McNabb and Matt Cassel.
