Fitz for 3 man Trade

Postby usualgang » Tue Sep 15, 2009 2:08 pm

Hey guys,

First time here and I need a little info on this possible trade:

Standard Vanilla scoring in a 12 man league with QB 2RB 3WR TE D and K

The Trade is:
I give up Fitz
I get Trent Edwards, Ryan Grant, and TJ Housh.

What do you think?

My team:

Matt Schaub
Kevin Smith
Mcfadden
Fitz
Roddy White
Lance Moore
John Carlson
Pats
Nick Folk

I would hang on to your stud WR. This offer is based on "quantity for quality" philosophy. I don't think any of offered players worth Fitz.

Nope, don't do it.

Grant would help, but you have two similar RBs in K Smith and McF. Your Wrs would take a big hit. And Edwards is not a guy who you can assign any value to...he is a waiver wire QB who is maybe a bye week fill in.

I don't like this. I think you're giving up too much. Fitz is gonna outproduce all the players you're getting in return and you don't have a bad team already, just probably had a bad week.

Who would you have to drop? The trade might not make sense for your team but the trade in itself seems like a bargain. If Housh was guaranteed to get acclimated to the Hawks offense then you'd essentially be trading away a high end #1 WR for three high end #2/low end #1 players at there respective positions.

I think it is a decent trade, is there anyway you could get him to drop Edwards for a low end WR

I would be droping McClain and Orton on my Bench, right now. I am wishy-washy on it with Fitz sharing time with Breaston and Bouldin, I know both are injured to some degree, but then it rests on Kurt Warners shoulders or Lienarts shoulders, neither of which I am sure about. Plus Fitz only put up big time numbers when bouldin was out. Just needing some possible perspective on the other three guys. I also have derrick mason on my bench as a back up WR.

I like Trent Edwards over Orton. You QB1, Schaub is a little shaky so being able to choose between the two could be a hit or miss type deal. Overall though, you would improve at QB. Grant is a HUGE upgrade over McClain. Grant is going to perform like a solid #2 this year. I think this could possibly merit the loss at WR, although it could be much worse. Housh is definitely more of a gamble now but I just can't see him disappointing to that extent this year. Fantasy is all about gambles, I would personally take the trade. Plus..how can you forget the Madden Curse...dun dun dun
