Trade Colston and Ced Benson for Randy Moss?

Postby GeneralTsou » Tue Sep 15, 2009 2:10 pm

Earlier I created a post asking whether to trade Cedric Benson and Wes Welker for Randy Moss. I don't think the other owner will take this trade. Now I am considering offering Marques Colston and Cedric Benson for Randy Moss. I will then use Leon Washington in the flex replacing Cedric Benson (my starting RB are S Jax and Westy). This will give me the Patriots WR duo for the season. I know the Pats bye week I will have to start Kevin Walter and Steve Breaston but I will gladly take one loss to have the Moss/Welker duo. Is this a good trade for me?

Well, it will depend on your scoring system, but basically it comes down to the tradeoff from Benson to Washington versus Colston to Moss. If your league counts return yards, then do it in a heartbeat. I'm not sure if the other owner will accept though (I don't think I would).

Any help on my question appreciated:

6 pts for rush/rec TD
1 pt for 10yd rush/rec
1 pt for 50yd+ rush/rec TD

we get 6 pts for return TD but not yards.

assuming he will take the trade, is it worth it?

I would definitely trade Colston and Benson for Moss. Benson will rack up some points, as will Colston but I don't expect Colston to be super consistent considering the amount of weapons at Brees' exposal. Moss is an elite talent and whenever you don't have to trade elite talent to get it I say do it.

I would take it. I like Moss's chance to score big points this year.

Do it if you can get away with it. The loss of Benson is well worth the upgrade of Moss. I wouldn't accept it if I was him though.

You realize there is no way that dude trades away Randy Moss for Colston right? Cedric Benson is borderline worthless. Colston got lucky with a TD pass and had like 30 yards. Moss had another 100+ game.
10 rushing yards - 1 pt
10 receiving yards - 1 pt
20 passing yards - 1 pt
All TDs - 6 pts (QBs favored)
