I have Rivers, Need a good RB2. Trade Hass for Ward? WHIR!!

I have Philip Rivers as my number one QB, and my RBs are MJD and R. Brown, really looking to upgrade Brown. I was offered Derrick Ward for Hasselback. That would allow me to start MJD every week and play the matchups with Ward, Brown or Benson as my RB2. What do ya'll think? Pull the trigger?

Or should I throw in Ronnie Brown and make it Hass/Brown for Julius Jones? Am I panic-ing too early on Brown?

I would make the trade, I had high hopes for Brown this year, but it doesn't look like he is going to be that great. Ward and Caddy both put up good numbers against Dallas, that is a concern (split carries).. until the Caddy breaks down. You are going to start Rivers most of the time so getting rid of Hass for RB depth is a good call

Ya make the trade. Forget Julius Jones.

Brown and Ward give you more options. Just bench Ward next week cause he's playing my heartbroken Buffalo Bills

Yeah I think you gotta go for it. Especially after last nights game I expect to see a decent amount of Rivers throwing again this year. So losing Hass is very minor compared to the upgrade you get at RB.

Don't take Julius after one good week against a weak defense.

Ward might be a headache all season for you. (whether or not he gets carries in what will essentially be a 3 RB team, I think Graham will become more involved as the season goes on)

If you want to play the matchup game with Ward and Brown, that may work, but the problem is that you'll never be able to predict how many touches Ward will get week to week. The Bucs head coach has said in interviews that whoever is the "hot" back each game will get more touches.

I'de shop around a bit more, and maybe offer somebody a 2 for 1 trade for a better RB (try to package Hassleback and Benson this week, Benson had his only good week of the season and his value is as high as itll be all year) Don't be so down on the Brown either, at worst he'll be a servicable RB2

Hope I helped, and didnt make things more complicated.

Check out this trade if you have time:
