DeSean Jackson for Johnathon Stewart? WHIR!

Postby nimzox » Tue Sep 15, 2009 7:05 pm

I'm thinking off trading DeSean Jackson for Johnathon Stewart. Would you guys make that trade in a ppr league? I'm not that high on Jackson. As always, WHIR Thanks!

I defenitly would take this if you can. Desean Jackson didnt produce in week 1, and with Mcnab out, probably wont produce until a solid QB comes in. Stewart will put up solid numbers if he stays healthy.

Help with this trade if you have time:

depends on what depth you have at wr and rb. but odds are i would rather have Jackson however really depends on your roster...

in a ppr league i'd rather have jackson regardless of what QB he has. Stewart is splitting carries and Delhomme is terrible

i agree it really depends on your roster if you lack wrs go with DeSean and vice Versa. but mcnabb is hurt and might not get enough looks until he comes back

I don't think I would do it. Desean Jackson is capable of hitting 1,000 yards receiving this season (a good bit here is dependent on McNabb's health) and could give you 5-7 scores as well. The only way Stewart actually gives you more production and helps you win this trade is if DeAngelo Williams gets hurt, giving Stewart the starting job. I would say that, more than likely, Williams won't go down for an extended period. Until that happens (if it ever does), then I think Stewart is getting the less busy end of a timeshare (at best) and that isn't worth giving up Jackson.

Hmmm...you definitely could use some help at RB. After DMC and Benson you really have a drop off. But the only way I'd do it is if you only start 1 WR. To me Jackson is your clear WR2. Harvin and Henry can produce, but I'd only rely on them as a flex. Plus if you get any points for return TDs, Jackson can help you there as well.

I'd say no. Try to find RB depth on waivers...someone will emerge this year to surprise you.

Good luck, and please see mine:

Passing TDs = 4
All other TDs = 6
100 yd rushing bonus = 4
PPR
All other basic scoring

VERY strict rosters...MUST have:

2 QBs (start 1)
3 RBs (start 2)
4 WRs (start 2)
2 TEs (start 1)
2 D/STs (start 1)
2 Ks (start 1)
Flex--ANY offensive player
