Willie Parker for Eddie Royal Offer

Postby scuzfly » Wed Sep 16, 2009 9:26 am

I've got Royal and was offered Parker as a trade.
PPR League FWIW

My RB right now are Gore and Steve Jackson, backups are John Stewart and LenDale White. Royal didn't really help me out last weekend but I'm not sure I want to trade him so soon. Just picked up Orton for QB this week.

It would help if you posted your full roster. However, I would not do this. You would be selling low on a player, which is never good to do. Parker was horrible against a good TEN DEF, and he has Mendenhall and Moore there to take carries away. I would stick with Royal for a few more weeks.

My Roster
QB: Orton and Cassell
WR: Jennings, Bowe, Royal (benched), Walter and Breaston (also benched)
RB: Gore, S. Jackson, LenDale White (bench) and John Stewart (Bench)
TE: Dallas Clark and Owen Daniels (bench)
DEF: Philly

PPR league

His Team
QB Trent Edwards, McNabb
WR: Moss and Fitz., Holt and Clayton (Bench)
RB: T. Jones, Portis, Willie Parker (bench) J. Jones
TE: T. Gonzo, Shockey (bench)
Def: NYG

Would Julius Jones be a decent trade? Or was last weeks game agains the rams just a one time luck thing?

although I think Parker will eventually bounce back. Looking at your roster, I doubt he would ever start for you (barring injuries to your others) While Royal may see playing time on your squad as a bye week filler .. I'd also stand pat..

I agree. I wouldn't do this, especially in a PPR. Royal will get a lot of catches this year. He will be Orton's 7 yard safety blanket.

That's what I'm hoping (and thinking) but with him getting nothing last weekend and Orton going into Cleveland it might get hairy. Cleveland stopped Farve a good number of times this weekend which worries me about putting Orton/Royal vs Orton/Bowe. Bowe is in Oakland Sunday afternoon and while I'm a raiders fan I'm not too sure the pass D was all Raiders and not bad offense.
