Is this a fair trade offer? WHIR!!!

Postby LaRock » Wed Sep 16, 2009 6:11 pm

12 team league, standard scoring, 0.5 PPR, 4 pts per 100 yds rushing.

VERY strict roster rules. We MUST have 2 QBs, 3 RBs, 4 WRs, 2 TEs, 2 D/STs, 2 Ks.

QB: Schaub, Garrard

RB: Forte, Benson, Lynch

WR: Megatron, White, Royal, Harvin

TE: Gates, Shiancoe

D/ST: MIA, ATL

K: Vinatieri, Carney

--------------

Another owner has Kevin Smith, and I'd like to see if I can buy low on him. Would this be a fair trade offer to make to him:

My Benson OR Lynch + Gates
His K Smith + Olsen OR Heap

I feel confident that Shiancoe can produce for me, and if I land Olsen/Heap I have solid depth. I would just like to see if he'd be willing to part with Smith after a poor outing last week and a poor matchup this week.

So what would be the fairest offer? Thanks, and leave a link so I can return the favor...
Passing TDs = 4
All other TDs = 6
100 yd rushing bonus = 4
PPR
All other basic scoring

VERY strict rosters...MUST have:

2 QBs (start 1)
3 RBs (start 2)
4 WRs (start 2)
2 TEs (start 1)
2 D/STs (start 1)
2 Ks (start 1)

I think that almost every combo of that is fair enough and that it would come down to personal likes as to which is 'best'.

I also think that there is fair enough chance that it would work, so try one and just open up a dialogue with the other owner I think... see where you end up.

Good luck and thanks for seeing mine

They are both fair offers. Lynch and Gates for Olsen and Smith? I really can't see the better deal in that trade. If you want Smith, he would definitely consider either offer.

All fair enough to offer. I'd start with Benson/Gates for Smith/Olsen and settle for Smith/Heap if it comes to that.

I absolutely like this for you.....

Lynch is still gone for a couple of weeks and they already said when he comes back then F.Jackson will continue to see alot of carries. K.Smith is great and even better in PPR and has nobody to take carries away and is healthy and is playing right now!!! Benson had a good week 1 and should be a big part of the offense this year as well but I personally like Beson this year then Lynch (as sad as it sounds)!.....lol Either one for K.Smith is great though!

Gates is good but Olsen is just as good and just had a bad 1 week and should rebound in week 2! (BTW....Heap will be a monster this year as well so....either one)!

Good Luck and good job if you can make the trade!

I think those are fair offers, if you really have that much faith in Shiancoe. Personally, I'd rather keep Gates, but otherwise your logic is sound. My advice though, if you really think Smith will have a poor week in Week 2, then wait until next week to make your offer. If your prediction is accurate, then you will have an even easier time making the deal. Or I suppose you could offer it now, and then if he rejects it, you could always try the same offer again next week.
