Let me preface this by saying that I was involved in a weird draft that saw a run on QB's. Brees, Manning, and Brady were all gone by pick 17; this caused people to panic, which led to QB overdrafts like Rivers in the 2nd and Warner in the 3rd. Thus, my QB's are mediocre; but at least the spots I got them (Cassel in the 9th, Favre in the 10th) weren't bad. On to the team...
QB: Favre RB: S. Jackson RB: Barber WR: Houshmanzadeh WR: D. Jackson RB/WR: Grant WR/TE: Z. Miller K: Elam DST: Packers
Bench: QB- Cassel (hurt); RB- F. Jones, J. Davis, K. Faulk; WR- A. Gonzalez (hurt), E. Bennett, T. Holt; TE: J. Finley
I believe my team is good, but I have some doubts thanks to a week 1 spanking (due in part to A. Gonzalez being injured while active).
well you better chalk up some one for houzmenzdah , he may not play sunday either . i would be looking for another wide receiv like mario manningham just in case he doesnt play .

Okay so those qbs went really early and you still ended up with this team and those qbs? You have pretty good rbs I guess but not impressed with the team. Grab Flacco if he's avail. He's better than Favre, stash Cassel for the playoffs.

I'd start Bennett over DeSean Jackson this week.
Lol WOW, blunt much?
Let me put into perspective how high QB's we drafted in this league: the guy who took Brady in the 2nd grabbed Matt Ryan in the 6th, and the guy who took Brees in the 2nd grabbed Palmer in the 6th. So, I wasn't left with much choice. When I went to grab a QB, Cassel was the consensus best available.

I believe he was referring to your team as a whole, not just the QB position. While folks were drafting QBs you should have been snagging better WRs.

I'm aware of that. My WR's would have been fine had A. Gonzalez not been injured. But, he did get injured, so I have to deal with that.

Maybe. How many point per reception do you get? Sorry - not trying to dog-pile. I'm only guessing of course but it just seems that an early run on QBs would have left more high-end #1 receivers on the board. Good luck!

I drafted 7th, grabbed two running backs who can catch, and when Grant was still there at pick 31, I wasn't passing him. Especially considering two of the more competitive players in my league (who were on deck to draft after me) hadn't taken an RB yet. And at that point, I took the best WR's available, which in order were Housh in the 4th, DeSean in the 5th, and Gonzo in the 6th. I planned on taking a QB in the 6-7th, but there was a huge run on them in the 6th round (which saw Romo, Ryan, Palmer, and E. Manning got drafted all in a row).
So, I waited. And after that point, not a single QB was taken except by me, when I took Cassel late in the 9th. So, basically, there was a big run on both WR's and QB's. Thus, my RB's are clearly stacked, while my QB's are suspect. By the same token, there are some teams with elite receivers, but horrible running backs.
