Drop Kyle Orton pickup Mark Sanchez? Thoughts?

Postby Haypress » Thu Sep 17, 2009 8:13 am

Im really not comfortable with having K Orton has my backup QB at this point, just wanted to see your thoughts on Mark Sanchez, he is a FA in my 12 team league at this point. WHIR. Thanks

Man its a tough decision, If Sanchez plays well against NE's defense he will definetely get picked up, and im 6th on waivers while the other 5 ahead of me have pretty back backup QB's aswell. Hate being on the fence.

I really didnt like the play of Orton this week but will have to re watch the game, being a Broncos fan I dont think he will have the job much sooner if he keeps up what hes doing, Simms might come in and do his job, Sanchez looks like a young stud and should only get better as he gets more reps, he has a calmness back there that you dont see with many rookies, but he will throw picks so not sure how many points are taken away from you in your league for INT's, also who is your starter? and when is his bye week? who has the better matchup between these two?

Overall if this is just your backup QB I say take a risk and get Sanchez.

Thanks for all the input guys, really appreciate your help. I have Rodgers starting whose bye week is 5, Jets are playing @ Miami that weekend and Broncos are playing NE at home. Tough choice man. -1 for Interceptions

I still like Sanchez, but its one of those gut calls you would have to make, in my 12 team league Orton is a free agent, cant say the same for Sanchez
