need help with new fantasy league

Postby shadowfire36 » Thu Sep 17, 2009 10:50 pm

i currently play in 3 leagues . i play on to PPR paid leagues ,and i won both my week 1 games . My problem is with this new league that is not a ppr . the scoring for this is league are yards and TD's only . i picked several of the same players for both leagues. for example in all three leagues i have wes welker , in in 2 ppr leagues he got me no less than 14pts ,but in this league i got 9 i was crushed in week one and dont wish to have a repeat . i need help to re-evaluate my team to score in this league . here is my current roster . im not sure who to start or do i need to add and drop players i think my running back are good , but i think my WR are weak i need some advice on what to do since this type of strategy is new to me . any tactic that can lead to a win even if i need to swap defenses!

one last note is the players starting in this league you are allowed:
1 QB
2 WR
2 RB
1 TE
1 TE OR WR

I wouldn't sit Welker for those guys under any circumstances. Yeah, it sucks not getting PPR considering the amount of catches he gets, but bottom line is a lot of catches means potential for a lot of yards and and touchdown targets. You can either go with a guy that may (or may not) catch 2-3 passes down the field for big gains and/or a TD or a guy who is gonna get 9-10 with with more opportunities to make big plays and more red zone targets. If it were me, I'd play it safe.

Jennings, Welker, Heap, and Miller...I could consider putting in Crayton in for Miller, but that would completely go against my original post. :-b I think I'd have a harder time sitting a WR over a TE (especially without ppr) so I'd lean to have 3 WRs and 1 TE.

so you think miller wont get any touch downs?

so start jennings welker ,and crayton and use heap over miller as tight end
