Help me trade for Aaron Rodgers

Standard ESPN scoring keeper league; 10 teams

WR (play 2 or 3): Randy Moss (NE), Terrell Owens (BUF), Santonio Holmes (PIT), Bernard Berrian (MIN)
TE: Dustin Keller (NYJ), Heath Miller (PIT), Vernon Davis (SF)

K: Lawrence Tynes (NYG), Nate Kaeding (SD)

I'm 0-0-1 going into week 2.
McNabb is out for a while and I'm reeealy uncomfortable with depending on Cutler. The top QB's on the wire are Trent Edwards, Brody Croyle, Byron Leftwich, Mark Sanchez, and Kerry Collins.

A guy in the opposite division in my league has Brady and Rodgers as his QBs, and has openly said he would trade Rogers for the right guy. We've gone round and round a few times and he's always trying to get Moss, who is my untouchable. Should I offer up TO? Or bite the bullet this week with Cutler and hope he gets his act together? Or play the wire?

I would stick with Cutler. One, McNabb won't be out forever. And two, Cutler won't be throwing 4 picks every game. Green Bay's pass defense is actually quite good, and Matt Forte didn't help matters by getting nothing done on the ground.

The fantasy output between Cutler and Rodgers won't be big enough (over the course of a season) for you to trade one of your good players elsewhere on your team for him (Rodgers).

You would have to give up too much to get Rodgers. It's all about getting equal value back, and Rodgers is worth either Moss or MJD. That's who I would want if you were offering me the same trade. No way I'd take T-O for him, and there isn't anyone else on your team I would want. I agree with Knightrider. Stick with Cutler until McNabb gets healthy.

Um... please pick up Edwards and play him ASAP!! excellent spot start this week against a hapless TB secondary (just look @ what Romo did to them); and who knows, perhaps Edwards continues to put up solid #'s all year... I believe he will be better then Cutler this year, fantasy-wise.

p.s.- u only start 1 QB in ur league, and someone has Brady & Rodger's??!? How did that happen?! Don't give to much for Rodger's, although he will be one of the better QB's this year, that other guy is in no position to demand a pricey trade offer! Drafting Rodger's early, he has to be hurting in other area's of his team... and after a couple weeks of Rodger's getting pts. on his bench and his team struggling, he'll have to lower his asking price (remind him of that fact!) I got someone in my league who drafted an obscene amount of RB's and now the rest of his team is hurting and no one will trade with him cuz he's asking to much for them... bad strategy on there part!

Can you post the other guy's roster?
I wouldn't hesitate to offer T.O. for Rodgers, btw.

His roster: Brady, Rogers
RB: Ryan Grant, Ray Rice, Steve Slaton
WR: Evans, Cotchery, Ochocinco, Burleson
TE: Shockey, Olsen, Boss
DST: Resskins, Pats
K: Rackers, Nedney

IIRC he picked Brady round 1, Slaton round 2, and Rodgers round three.

I offered him TO for Rogers straight up, but no deal. He's only interested in Moss and MJD. I guess he thinks someone else will trade him an elite if I don't. At this point I'm sticking with Cutler and crossing my fingers, though I will take a look at Edwards. Thanks for your help!

Drop Vernon Davis and pick up either Edwards or Sanchez QUICKLY.

Why 3 TEs.

I wouldn't keep 2 Ds either unless you have to?? or you start two Ds?

I wouldn't go out and trade away your team to get a qb yet. I think that after watching the Steelers play a bit, and last weeks game that Cutler may be able to post some decent numbers against them. When Arizona put up numbers against them, they were passing, Tenn. moved the ball much better from passing and Troy P is out for the week. SO with all of that I would go with Cutler and by yourself another week or two until McNabb is healthy.

We have roster limits on our team... 2 qbs, 3 rbs, 4 wrs. it makes the waiver wire more interesting but add a layer of fat to our bench.

It's kind of silly.

i would limit 5 per position that makes more sense. its hard to get through a fnatasy season with just 4 backs. really with injuries... :-t
