14-team PPR RB2 help...Benson or Stewart?

Postby Whisper » Sat Sep 19, 2009 11:57 am

I know, I know, neither Benson or Stewart is a great start this week...but LT's out, and my CJ4.24 is the only sure bet at RB1. So, do I go with...

C. Benson @ GB
J. Stewart @ Atl

Edit: 12-team league (not 14-team, sorry), 1 PPR, all else is standard scoring. Only "decent" waiver wire options are Willie Parker and Beanie Wells, neither of which I like better than Benson or Stewart this week.

Also, if you have more time to kill and want to help out with my flex spot choices, I've got the following open:

B. Marshall, K. Walter, Benson/Stewart, D. Keller

I already have Royal and Welker plugged in as my two WR's, so now I'm waffling between Marshall and Walter.

I would go with Stewart, but I wouldn't like it much. I don't think Benson will do much against the Pack.

Why no start both Stewart and then use Benson as your flex? I think he is the best option there.

First off, why is Willie Parker and Beanie Wells on your waiver wire if its a 14 team league??? I use my waiver to atleast get one (my choice would be Wells) of these backs on my roster in such a deep league..

I would start Benson and Walter at your flex.. in a 1 pt per reception league .. Walter is a poor man Welker.. He's golden and I'm pretty sure the Texans is going to come out playing with everything on table..

A little help??

Sorry, made a mistake in the original post...it's actually a 12-team league, not 14-team. I may still pick up Wells, though, just in case.

The consensus seems to be Benson thus far (between here and the friends I've asked elsewhere), although there's still the occasional vote for Stewart with the hope that he gets a goal-line carry...especially with the doubts about what Cin will do in general this week. I seriously may just end up flipping a coin.

And I've heard the same about Walter (i.e., poor man's Welker), so I'm leaning towards him over Marshall...but at the same time, Marshall was Denver's most-targeted receiver last week, and a few people are predicting a significant rebound. Although I don't know that I can bet against the PPR goodness that is Royal and start Marshall in his place.
