DeSean Jackson or Earl Bennett?? PPR

Postby SupremeSole » Sat Sep 19, 2009 12:11 pm

I would normally start Jackson but since McNabb is hurt I'm leaning more towards Bennet... I'm in a standard PPR league (1pt per reception).. I'm thinking Chicago is going to be down early and Cutler will have to force it to Bennett late in the game.. Right now its a 80/20 split with me strongly considering Bennett.. Just wanted to see what the Cafe has to say about it.. Thanks ..

I would still consider Jackson a #3 receiver, in the fantasy world. However, the Eagles could be unpredictable this week! I would go with Earl Bennett, if I had to choose between the two.

I would stick with Jackson here in a PPR they are going to be throwing against the air attack of the Saints. Kolb will do just fine look what the lions did in week 1 vs the Saints Defense. Not to mention they got hosed on a 70 yarder to Calvin Johnson.

Stick with your proven guns for now I know its hard not to freak out with Kolb in there but he can't do worse then Cutler last week. I would give Chicago a week to figure out what the hell they are doing.

My intuition would be to stick with Jackson and hope that Philly doesn't lean TOO much on Westy.

Thanks for the help on mine.

In a PPR....Bennett. Bennett 13 targets vs. Jackson's 7 targets last week.

Last week has nothing to do with this week.

Jackson should be needed more in week 2 since the opposing QB is not Delhomme. Brees and the Saints will score more points and make way less mistakes. The Saints will likely force the Eagles to throw. Jackson's speed is pretty much unmatched in the league. He may have less catches in week 2 with McNabb benched but he has a better chance to see the end zone. The Steelers will make Cutler look just as bad as he did last week or worse. $.02

you're right...last week has nothing to do with this week. This week the Eagles are starting Kolb. In a non PPR I would say Jackson hands down. Both are in crumy situations. I still think Cutler has more talent than Kolb...Forte won't run and Pitt's D certainlty took a hit. Bennet is the only one that knowas how to run routes....Cutler will be forced to throw as well.
