WR and TE starts

Postby DTG316 » Sun Sep 20, 2009 10:05 am

Hi everyone. I have some questions about who to start and sit at WR and TE for week 2.

WR(start 3 of following 5)

Boldin @ Jac(questionable)
B Edwards @ Den
Evans vs TB
Gage vs Hou
Moose Muhammad @ Atl (Earl Bennent and Devery Henderson are available on waivers as well)

TE(start 1)

Olsen vs Pitt
Shiancoe @ Det

Thanks.

I hate answering S&S questions because I don't want to be the guy to cost you your week.

Nonetheless here is what I would do.

TE: Olsen is your #1 period. I don't think I would take him out after seeing Favre last week. Minny offense will be very vanilla for a while until Favre learns the playbook. Although Olsen crapped the bed last week I feel that was more GB's solid lb's and Cutlers ints.

WR: Boldin is your stud. He is mine to. I am starting him because the guy can be a monster. He has another week of getting healthy under his belt. The 3 guys that stand out to me are Boldin, Evans, and Gage. I think all of them have nice games. If you are worried about Boldin then start the other 2. I'd probably pick Evans over Gage because of what Dallas did to Tampa's secondary last week. Evans is sure to bust one.

I like Boldin, Edwards, and Gage. Trent Edwards looked very comfortable just dropping the ball off to Jackson last week and it worked well...I don't know if Evans will benefit from that and T.O. complaining about getting the ball. I like Shiancoe but I don't know how much Favre and the Vikings will throw with AP running all over DET. I think I might go Olsen at the TE spot because I know the Bears will need the passing game because Forte will be held under 60 yards.
