WR Kevin Walter (hamstring) did not practice Friday and is questionable.

WR Kevin Walter missed another practice because of a hamstring injury. Coach Gary Kubiak said Walter can miss practice and still start if he's ready on Sunday. Walter has been extremely durable, so expect him in the lineup. If he can't play, Andre Davis will take his place. Davis had a terrific training camp.

News: The Texans listed WR Kevin Walter (hamstring) among their inactives for Week 1 vs. the Jets. WR Andre Davis will start in his place, opposite WR Andre Johnson.
Analysis: This is a shame, as Walter should be in for a nice 2009 season as part of what is expected to be an explosive Texans offense. Be sure to bench him for Week 1 and just hope he gets back sooner rather than later. Davis might be worth a shot as a one-week replacement in deeper leagues if you can grab him off the waiver before the 1 p.m. kickoff.
