Hey guys, mid last week I sent a guy in my league a trade for Jones-Drew. I gave a decent amount to get him, and it was accepted a little while ago. After todays performance by Chris Johnson, I dont know how well I actually did. Johnson went off for 200 rushing yards, 2 rush tds, 87 rec yards and 1 td. CJs schedule is also a big easier than MJDs. How did I do on the trade? Thanks
I gave: Chris Johnson, Mike Bell and TJ Housh
I got: Jones Drew, Donald Brown and Crabtree
I will post my team below, but in addition to the above info, as of mid last week, I saw Johnson and Housh as equal to MJD and Brown. Crabtree is a throw in who Id drop and while mike bell has done well, once Pierre thomas comes back I dont think Bell is even close to startable. Thoughts?
10 team league h2h redraft. all tds are 6 points with 20 yards per point rush/rec and 40 yards per point passing.
QB Tom Brady WR Randy Moss WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh RB Chris Johnson RB Matt Forte TE Todd Heap W/R Wes Welker BN Joe Flacco BN Beanie Wells BN Jonathan Stewart BN Michael Bush BN Ahmad Bradshaw BN LeSean McCoy BN Mike Bell
Jeez, this is why I don't advocate blowing up your team after the first week.
I do think you gave too much by including Housh in the deal, but it could still work out in your favor. MJD and CJ should be about even the rest of the year.
well i may be different than most, and this isnt just because of today. but i like johnson over MJD. hes in a better offense with an easier schedule. donald brown should never start for you barring injury and bye weeks, so you traded a starting wr for a guy that will sit on your bench the entire year. IMO you downgraded at two positions
lol in no way do I see chris johnson as a better rb over MJD. But thats my opinion and we differ on it. I think MJD can score from anywhere but also gets the goalines which CJ does not. I will agree that CJ does have an easier schedule.
In regards to Housh, to be honest, I was never high on him. He is a possession wr that wont get many looks in the endzone. He is mostly a yarage guy but is as good as Hasselback is. If Hasselback isnt healthy, downgrade Housh.
Also, I would put Wes Welker in at my second wr spot and my flex spot could be Beanie Wells or J. Stewart.
agree to disagree about MJD and Johnson, call them close to a wash either way.
but you saying you would play welker in your flex is exactly my point. you lost housh who will be a starter for you and picked up a guy that will probably sit on your bench.

Padrino, I think you are misunderstanding what im saying. I would start wes welker as my second wr. Our league can start 2 wr, I would start moss and welker. My flex spot could either be- beanie wells, j. stewart, michael Bush, leshone mccoy or others.
no im not misunderstanding you. i am saying i would rather start your current lineup than one with those flexes.
i think you traded your #1 rb, and an every week starter at wr for a rb of equal (or lesser IMO) value, a rb that you will never start, and a wr that is currently not in the NFL
i think padrino says it all for me. i like MJD but to give up TJ for a bench rb/WR who isnt even registered was a downfall. Also the idea of having more than 1 wr from the same team is risky.
