Help at WR and should I go after Ray Rice?

Postby acurax04 » Mon Sep 21, 2009 10:32 am

Alright my 3 WR's in week 2 netted me < 12 points all together. Here is my team:

QB Aaron Rodgers
RB MJD
RB Steve Slaton
WR Randy Moss
WR Hines Ward
WR Justin Gage
TE Zach Miller

BN Lee Evans
BN Torry Holt
BN Anthony Gonzalez (Out!)
BN Matt Ryan
BN Fred Jackson
BN Julius Jones

Not too many WR's available on waivers but here are a few:

Bernard Berrian (just dropped)
Mark Clayton (just dropped)
Chris Chambers
Michael Jenkins

Also, someone dropped Ray Rice for McGahee. Should I try and get him? Who should I drop for him?
Standard scoring.
QB: Aaron Rodgers / Vince Young
RB: Maurice Jones-Drew / Ray Rice / Jamaal Charles / Beanie Wells
WR: Randy Moss / Andre Johnson / Robert Meachem / Kenny Britt
TE: Heath Miller / Jermichael Finley
K: Ryan Longwell
DEF: CIN / SEA

Your WR depth is solid, more solid than any of those FAs. I would drop either Holt or Anthony Gonzalez for Ray Rice. You never know how Anthony Gonzo will be used after he comes back, or if he'll even make good on his "breakout" year. Holt is not a flashy option, but your WR depth becomes very suspect if you keep Anthony Gonzalez and drop Holt.
