Burn my #1 Waiver? WHIR

Postby organist » Mon Sep 21, 2009 12:04 pm

1. Should I use my #1 waiver priority on any of these guys?
Mario Manningham (WR, NYG)
Steve Smith (WR, NYG)

2. I have been hurting at WR so far, and of course QB (see roster below). The Drew Brees owner also has Schaub, and is predictably thin at WR and RB... should I try to trade...? If so, any ideas...?

Leave a link and I'll get back to you...

10 Teams
All TDs = 6pt
TO = -2
Pass; 25yds per pt
Rush; 10yds per pt
Rec: 20yds per pt (NO PPR!)
Return: 20yds per pt

QB... Jay Cutler (Chi)
WR... Eddie Royal (Den)
WR... Roy Williams (Dal)
WR... Reggie Wayne (Ind)
RB... DeAngelo Williams (Car)
RB... Steve Slaton (Hou) (Trade for Schaub?)
TE... Antonio Gates (SD)
K.... Lawrence Tynes (NYG)
DEF.. Green Bay

BN... Darren Sproles (SD) (Trade for Schaub?)
BN... Fred Jackson (Buf) (Trade bait?)
BN... Trent Edwards (Buf) (Drop for Manninghamd or Smith?)
BN... Antonio Bryant (TB)

I say no. There are several WR players in additon to the two you mentioned that may be on the wire nest like Knox, Walker or L. Robinson.

4 bench spots... jeez, what a shallow league. If you can spin Sproles for Schaub, I'd definitely do that. Edwards is releasable, but I wouldn't burn my #1 on him to pick up MM or Steve Smith. I'd wait to see who clears, and make my decision then.

Help on mine? viewtopic.php?t=448530
