Brandon Marshall , do i need to let go?

Postby peteypablo » Mon Sep 21, 2009 1:12 pm

I will give Brandon Marshall one more week before I drop him. If I need a kicker or defense on a bye week, he will be the first to go.

After hitting Earl Bennett early and often in week 1, Cutler now seems to be in love with Johnny Knox. Knox is a FA in my league, as he probably is in most.

or should I just pickup Knox now? I dont see many games where Marshall will have over 5 receptions.

Don't panic just yet. After all of the controversy, Marshall may just need some time to get his timing down (and learn the playbook). I wouldn't even consider dropping him for a guy like Knox until at least week 5.

Marshall is simply too talented not to deliver. He was playing a fool during the preseason and is behind on the playbook. He will catch up eventually, and when he does, Josh McDaniels will feature him heavily in his offensive scheme. They were talking long-term contract extensions a week ago, for chrissakes. Do not drop Marshall to the FA. If you want to pick up Knox, there must be someone else on your roster you can drop.

LOL......drop Marshall for a Defense or Kicker? Seriously? :-B

Marshall is more valuable than ANY player on the WW.

It has only been 2 weeks....

Do you think owners are dropping Forte, Slaton, etc...because they had a bad 2 weeks???

Be patient, you knew Marshall's situation coming into the season. Did you expect him to be huge the first 2 weeks?

Well if you want to drop him now and regret it in a few weeks, go for it, but I'm not dropping him. If you think about it he missed most of training camp, is coming off of surgery, he has posted back to back 100 catch seasons, needs to get into shape and if he wants that big contract he needs to post big numbers. So if you have him, give him a few weeks, once he gets some rapport built up with Orton he will start to produce again.
