My McFadden or L. Johnson/Bowe for Slaton/Houshmandzadeh

Postby Wags » Mon Sep 21, 2009 1:53 pm

Should I pull the trigger on this trade? I'm trying to improve my running corps and figure this might be a good pairing to do it, especially after Slaton has had two sorry weeks. I have been pretty unimpressed with Bowe and I wouldn't might giving up one of the backs if I could get Slaton....

any thoughts? ideas?

Leave a link and I'll help out!

I'd definitely do either one of those if you can. I don't really like Housh this year, but Slaton will be fine. I think he's a great buy-low right now and will be a huge upgrade over McFadden or LJ.

Thanks for your help

I don’t know if I would do it, Slaton hasn’t been running the ball well and if Hasselbeck is out for very long do you trust Seneca Wallace? Also, Oakland has nothing w/o the run, Russell couldn’t hit his WR’s if they were open and 3 feet in front of him.

The way I see it is, McFadden maybe ultra talented, but Russel is so bad coupled with the Bush factor, RunDMC is going to dissapoint more often than not.

LJ is just in the worng spot, I think he can still get the job done, but I think KC is terrible, he may have a huje game here and there, but is just as apt to put up 11 rushes for 9 yards.

So I guess, long story short - I like Slaton a lot more than both of those guys - on upside alone, I would hold on to Run DMC and move LJ.

Bowe will get his, but he's still a part of the KC nightmare - you win by divoricing yourself from that situation IMO.

I'm not high on Housh either, but I'm assuming D. Bowe is your WR2, oush can fill that role.

Keep in mind, Slaton has faced 2 pretty good run D's in TENN & NYJ - I'd pull the trigger your LJ/Bowe for Slaton/Housh.
