IFFY Trade QUESTION. Pierre/Ginn for T.O.? WHIR 4SURE :)

Postby Phreedom32 » Tue Sep 22, 2009 8:16 pm

12 man league, standard yahoo scoring, non ppr. He's offering Pierre Thomas and TGinnJR for my T.O. I'm definitely not comfortable with this trade but what do you guys think? Ginn going to be a legit WR2/3 option? I know my RBs are a bit weak, but do I need Pierre or is he just going to end up RBBC trash?

My team

QB-Tom Brady
WR-Steve Smith (CAR)
WR-T.O.
WR-Lee Evans
RB-LT
RB-Sproles
TE-Witten
Flex-Tashard Choice
K-Tynes
Defense-Denver

Bench

Mike Bell
Mike Vick
Chester Taylor
Beanie Wells
James Davis

What is available???

Post FAs please.

I would drop Vick. The guy is talented but has never been a top fantasy option.

I would agree to see the WW and see what's avail. There is probably nothing on the WW though so I would suggest to try and shop TO around for something better but if not then it's not a bad trade at all. I would drop Vick as well for the extra position spot and move Ginn into TO's spot and move PT in place when he plays. When PT comes back he will be just fine and with Bell out with and injury he will be even better. Ginn threw it down this past weekend and he should fair well the rest of the way.

Good Luck!

Although this isn't a bad trade for you personally, I might do it and drop Vick.

Unless there is something better in FA, that's what will swing it.

I like the deal. You might be able to get a better RB in a one-for-one deal, but getting Thomas and Ginn aren't bad.

I'd check your FA list as well and see who's there. But if there isn't a comparable option I'd make the deal. And I agree with dropping Vick as well.

Good luck, and please see mine:

i think gage, bennett, and wade are comparable to ginn and interesting options on the FA. i had ginn last year and he never got it going...i think he is too small and gets pushed around too much. he relies too much on his quickness which is good, but only gets you so far. i like someone like gage especially since you don't lose TO. with CJ and White forcing defenses to play the run, it should open it up for gage later on in the season. PT would be nice to get, but maybe you can get a slightly better RB straight up for TO instead. of course, you are taking a gamble on TO also, he doesn't look great so far this season and i am worried about his production this year as well. in any case, drop Vick and get Gage and then make your decision. good luck.

don't do this deal keep TO or shop him around for a RB with a more valuable WR along with that RB in return.

do these quick:

Drop Vick for Johnny Knox #1
Drop Davis for Robinson #2

Do those 2 adds and your team really doesn't look bad at all, both Knox and/or Robinson could offer you some valuable fantasy stats from here on out. Then once MB3 comes back one will for sure step into your Flex spot for Choice. Some weeks I could see either Knox or Robinson starting over Lee Evans also. But for sure still shop TO around for a RB2 and a WR combo send one of your bench RB with TO to get the WR in return if you have to.
