Calling everyone! Randy moss for Grant or K. Smith? HELP!

Postby DukeVBall » Wed Sep 23, 2009 12:24 am

Help please. Non-PPR league. You know how sometimes you can't get out of your own way on trades cause you love certain players too much? Here are the offers:

Randy Moss for Ryan Grant
Randy Moss for Kevin Smith
Moss/Mendenhall for Smith/Grant and Moore/Crayton

If I trade Smith for Moss, I have 0 week 5 RBs.
If I trade for Moss, I have no week 8 WRs.
We are both 0-2 and I need a stud WR and he needs a good RB.

My team
QB: Palmer
RB1: Forte
RB2: Grant
WR1: Ocho Cinco
WR2: Crayton
Flex: K. Smith
TE: Witten
K: Akers
DEF: NYJ

BENCH: Hasselbeck, R. Bush, Edge,L. Moore, M. Moore, C. Henry, GB

NEED ANSWER TONIGHT! WHIR!

if ur ppr i trade grant, no ppr i trade ksmith. either way i think Moss is to valuable to not make this trade. If u have a personal preference for on then give up on the other. I have them at almost a wash
Eastmont League 10-3 (2nd Seed)
Wenatchee League 9-4 (2nd Seed)
Urine Trouble League 6-7 (6th seed boooya!!!)

I agree that KSmith = RGrant, though I like Grant a little more since the Lions are probably always going to be playing from behind. I would probably trade Smith for Moss even if it means not having any RBs for week 5 and no WRs for week 8. I think you'd have plenty of time to look for a sleeper RB/WR with good matchups for those weeks.

I'm also tempted to add Crayton or L. Moore to the trade in order to get Mendenhall from him. What do you think?

I thought I was leaning towards Grant... but Kevin Smith got 22 touches week 1, 26 week 2. Grant had 17 in both weeks.

It seems that Smith is featured more in this offense... and that GB is posed to throw more. I think Smith gets 80 yards every week and a TD now and then... whereas Grant... if he doesn't score a TD one week, he may only give me 4-5 points. Thoughts?

Was thinking this when I read it...

I would go Grant/Moore for Moss/Mendenhall. Moore is was so overrated this offseason due to last years stats, but people didn't think about the injuries to Colston, Shockey, Bush and at times Henderson and Meachem being things of the past. All are back strong this year and all have raped Moore of his touches. This may change one or 2 weeks max all year where he breaks out for a big game, but the average week won't be very good. If he will do Grant/Moore for Moss/Mendy I would jump all over that and who knows Mendy may be starting soon.

If he won't do that deal then I would also love the Grant for Moss straight up deal. Good for you all around.

A big thanks to deluxe_247 for the sweet sig!

So I've proposed Ryan Grant and Lance Moore for Randy Moss and Mendenhall...

I think this is the right move for my team.... unless someone can make a case to trade Kevin Smith.

Or if you think I just sit and try to get Manningham off the ww and use him as my #2?

Which non ppr lineup would you rather have:
Team 1
RB1: Forte
RB2: K. Smith
WR1: R. Moss
WR2: 85
Flex: Bush

Team 2
RB1: Forte
RB2: R. Grant
WR1: 85
WR2: Manningham
Flex: K. Smith
