Lynch / Fred Jackson....

Postby I Think Im Bowie on Wed Sep 23, 2009 10:23 am

So I got Lynch late in the draft, and didnt have room to draft Jackson, and well....now Im worried about Lynch's job. I know they just paid him a ton, and he is a stud....but is it possible he not get the bulk of the carries? Surely it wont be a 50/50 split....Im hoping 70/30 but i feel im being optimistic.

It's really hard to predict how the RB situation will pan out right now until Lynch gets back. First and foremost I would not start Lynch in his first game b/c he will most likely only see 1/2 of the carries... possibly less. Fred Jackson has made a statement and Marshawn will have to earn the starting gig back. With the committee trend becoming more traditional to keep the backs fresh, I have a gut feeling that BUF will be no exception unfortunately for Lynch/Jackson owners. 60/40 or 50/50 is probably how it will go, but that doesn't mean they won't be productive. And when one guy goes down, the other will be the stud.

I think FJax has earned himself at least 40% of the touches when Lynch returns and it may even be closer to 50%. He has been too good not to get him the touches. I think it is a good time to sell high while you can! :-]

Yes, after this week this turns into another RBBC train wreck that seems to be creeping up more and more around the league for us fantasy guys. Jackson is an awesome play. Lynch would be an awesome play. Together they make you want to have Chuck Norris kick you in the face.

Well does it make sense to go after Jackson, or just unload him while I can? i doubt I could get much, and I think I would still rather have him on my team despite the split, only bc of his upside.....I still think he makes a fine RB3.....about as good as you could prob get.....what about goalline carries? Prob Lynch I would have to say despite Freds performance....Lynch is just a beast between the tackles.

Once Lynch comes back I think it would be wise to stay away from both of them...at least for a couple weeks to see how everything pans out. It's too hard to truly predict how this will end so I'm personally staying away.

So what is Lynch's value when he comes back? Where would you rank him among other RBs?

I still think he will be solid....in no way will the Bills start Jackson over him....or even think about not giving him the ball. But Id have to say that guys like Cadillac, Tashard Choice, and McGahee have more value than right now....unfortunately for Lynch owners such as myself. Dont trade him now, wait a couple of weeks.....he will have a big game and that would be the time to trade him.....but why did you draft him and wait 4 weeks if you were just going to trade him?

Lynch isn't going away and neither is Jackson. 50/50 plowshare is my prediction making both match up plays.
