UPDATED Week 1 roster vs Week 9 roster. WHIR 100%

Postby Sex Panther » Wed Sep 23, 2009 4:40 pm

I made 2 relatively big trades since the end of week 1.

12 team re-draft $$ league, standard scoring w/ yardage bonuses. QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/Flex/K/D.

Was curious on which team the board would rather roll with on a week to week basis....

Projected Starters in BOLD:

Week 1 Team:

QB Brady/Schaub
WR Ochocinco/R. Williams/L. Moore/A. Gonzalez/N. Burelson
RB LT/R. Brown/R. Bush/M. Bell/M. Bush/J. Davis
TE Daniels
K Gostkowski
D Minnesota

Week 3 Team:

QB Schaub/Hasselbeck
WR Jennings/Ochocinco/Moore/Gonzalez/Smith (NYG)
RB LT/R. Brown/Addai/D. Brown/Bell
TE Daniels
K Gostkowski
D Minnesota

Trades I made were...

R. Bush & R. Williams for J. Addai & J. Cotchery

T. Brady, J. Cotchery, & M. Bush for M. Hasselbeck, G. Jennings, D. Brown.

So which team do you guys (and gals??) like more going forward? Thanks & WHIR...

Ok, 2 more big trades the last couple of week...

S. Smith (NYG) for R. Moss (the week before the 3 TD game - 6 if memory serves)

Just pulled the trigger on this doozie after losing Daniels for the season...

L. Tomlinson & J. Addai for M. Turner & B. Celek...

Projected Starters in BOLD:

Week 1 Team:

QB Brady/Schaub
WR Ochocinco/R. Williams/L. Moore/A. Gonzalez/N. Burelson
RB LT/R. Brown/R. Bush/M. Bell/M. Bush/J. Davis
TE Daniels
K Gostkowski
D Minnesota

Week 9 team:

QB Schaub/Hasselbeck (starting Hasselbeck this week hosting Detroit)
WR Moss/Ochocinco/Jennings/Burleson/Gonzalez
RB Turner/R. Brown/Bell/D. Brown
TE Celek/Watson
K Gostkowski
D Minnesota/Seattle (starting Seattle as a bye week filler at home up against the Lions)

I'm 7-1, 2 game lead in first place, 3rd in total points by about 40 - still haven't had a huge game when everybody decides to go off.

So week 1 vs week 9?

Bump, Thanks & WHIR

Hate to say it, but really... team 1.

Looks like you traded Brady away for Jennings and the Colts RB. Unless one gets hurt, you'll always be trying to guess which to put in.

That being said, I like Hass this year... thought it would be a bounceback year before he smashed his ribs.

Good luck and thanks for help on mine.

That second trade was pretty bad, honestly.

You got Jennings and a RB in a deep timeshare for two very valuable pieces in Brady and Cotchery. With Schaub, I understand you could afford to move Brady, but I don't think you got nearly enough.

I'll try to look at this in perspective since looking back on things its easy to say, should have done this or that knowing what has played out this season. That being said.

First trade: ;-D Great value, R. Williams being the older 2nd back in Mia, and Bush was in a committee.

2nd trade: :-t I don't know if Hass was injured at the time or not, but there had to be a team needing a no. 1 qb like brady much more or at least you could get more out of the trade. That being said, you did get rid of Cotch luckily before his injury, but I would have saved Brady until the bye weeks started setting in and teams were scrambling for that replacement qb. I also don't understand getting D. Brown since he was in a timeshare as Frank said, and I'm personally not a fan of owning a team's backfield, especially one like the P. Manning run Colts.

3rd trade: You struck gold here, I actually feel sorry for the other owner kind of.

4th trade: Bummer that Daniels went down, but I think you came out of it ok with a great rb in Turner in the most balanced(im not saying best) offense in the league imo, and Philly is on the rise.

Overall, with the exception of the Brady trade, I really like the improvements here and you definitely have a better team than you started with. Solid qb, wrs, rb, pretty much all around, and as for the flex, I think jennings is a solid play and can only get better in the second half.
