Some say he's a "fantasy star in the making" and/or playing a Rudi Johnson-like role this year, but i'm wondering. It IS cedric benson on a bengals team. Is he a solid #2 all season, or should he be sold off while he's hot?
Averaging 4.9 ypc against Green Bay is impressive

He is a running back on what seems to be a good offense. He is one of the few in the league that is not sharing carries. He was drafted somewhere around the 6th round.
I like what I see, and am keeping him around.
The only thing that worries me is the two games each with BAL and PIT.
I guess we will see what he is really made of on Sunday. If he succeeds, even moderately, this weekend, he is a must-start.

I actually think Cedric Benson is someone you should keep. The guy is a workhorse and he is starting to come around in terms of being a good NFL RB. He is showing burst and power this year that I haven't seen since he played for the Longhorns. Not only that, it looks like the Bengals offense is coming around. He should be a very solid #2 fantasy RB with potential to put up #1 numbers because of the workload he gets and the offense he plays in.

If you CAN sell him high then I would take a shot at it. Many people won't bite because, as you said, he IS Cedric Benson. I don't trust the guy and probably won't if he is still putting up #s over the next few weeks. At some point even he will realize that he IS Cedric Benson.

No chance I trade him unless I'm getting something really good. The guy has 5 100 yrd rushing games in a row. This week is the big test and a big game sunday could make him the biggest steal this year.

The defenses he played in the first two games aren't bad defenses.
I got him in the 9th round hahaha

I don't think the Bengals care if he carries the ball 40 times in a game. Workhorse is a understatement. This is rare in the game today. Palmer will hand it off to him on every snap if he can move the chains. Hell, Palmer will pass it to him just for some extra touches. Benson will get ALL goaline carries as well. If he can hold this ridiculous workload up, he will be a fantasy beast. I don't care if his YPC is 2.5 if he carries the ball 40 times for 100 yards and 3 TDs.
The Bengals know that Benson is the best recipe for protecting Palmer and re-igniting the passing game.

Benson is a very good value to where he was drafted considering his workload and exclusiveness to carries. As was said before, you won't get anything for him in trade because he's considered a re-tread.
Might as well just keep him til the wheels fall off.

Well depending on your roster I'm not sure he is worth getting rid of and I"m not sure he is a "sell high" player right now. Benson to me still have the stigma of a bust and many people won't give up much for him until he puts up a few good games in a row, and against a quality team like Pitt this weekend. To me it depends on what your team needs, but if it were me I would stick with him for a few more weeks. Good luck.
