Whats going on everyone. I got a difficult lineup for RB this week and I need to play 2. I wanted to get some thoughts going real quick on who you think I should play. Right now I have Steve Slaton and Ray Rice, but im on the fence, so any help would be appreciated. WHIR of course
Starting Steve Slaton VS. Jacksonville (Do we let Steve shut us down for week 3 or do we think he will come out of that rusty shell and show us that talent he had as a rookie last year)
Ray Rice VS. Cleveland (We all know he will put up the yardage, but McGahee is the one taking it home, he has roughly 200 career touches and no TD's? I hope that will change this year, and against Cleveland? This one might be a no brainer)
Benched Tim Hightower VS. Indianapolis (A great late round pick for me now that Beanie Wells is having trouble, he is getting most touches and may get even more this week now that Wells is up in the air)
Jon Stewart VS. Dallas (He had a great game last week, but is it enough to play him this week over a troubled Slaton, might want to see Stewart perform one more week before giving him that opportunity)
Leon Washington VS. Tennessee (Another great player, Rex Ryan is putting alot of faith in Washington as he said he wants Washington to get 20 or so touches a week)
So you can see my dilemma. What do you guys think, again, 100% WHIR
I'm almost of the mindset to keep it as is right now. It's always tough to do, but there's a reason Slaton was taken in the 1st or 2nd round of every league. I'm not saying to use that mantra all year, but Houston's offense came around a little last week, and hopefully it'll start to get more balanced.
I don't have enough faith in the others week in and out to justify benching him for one of them JUST YET.
I like Slaton for this week, keep him in. I also like Rice's production, but McGahee has been putting up the nicer numbers these past couple of weeks, since he's got the 3 rushing scores and 1 receiving as well...so maybe take a chance on Hightower, who's shown that he can run the ball. Good luck!
Thanks for help on mine....I have to say Slaton as well. I agree with everyone that Slaton is due for a big game, we know what he's capable of from last year, and if their offense can get rolling again we should see him put up some big numbers.
