Starting Wr help...WHIR for sure

Postby ACB0525 » Thu Sep 24, 2009 10:22 am

scoring: 1 pt for 25 yards, 6 pts for td

i need to start two of the following:

Santana Moss @ detroit

Mike Sims-Walker @ houston

TJ housh @ Chicago

Johnny Knox @ Seattle

i obviously like the detroit and houston matchups more than the othe two, but moss has gotten me nothing so far, and MSW is only playing in his secod game as part of the offense

leave a link and WHIR

I have Moss as well, and I'm also dissapointed with his production so far...but hey, I'm still starting him against the Lions. I think you should do the same, and I'll tell you this much...if he doesn't put up decent numbers against them I might drop him and get someone else. The Skins are not looking good offensively this year, and Campbell is a horrible QB...so maybe that's why Santana Moss hasn't been able to put up nice numbers so far...hopefully that changes. TJ has been a bust so far, and don't expect him to get any better against Da Bears...lol, so for your 2nd WR I'd give it to either MSW or Knox. I'm leaning more towards Knox just because I think Cutler is gonna air it out a lot against the Seahawks, while the Jags are probably gonna run the ball a lot...considering C. Johnson rushed for almost 200 yards and 2 TDs against the Texans. There's also rumors that Knox might be taking Bennet's job as a starter if he continues to produce, so look out for him having big games, I'm sure he'd like to have Bennet's job.

Help me with mine?

This is really tough. Moss has been hit or miss the past two years and even though its against Detroit, I've got a feeling hes either going to have a great game or a horrible game. Mind me asking what WR's are on the free agent wire? Any of the Giants WR's are available? Steve Smith or Mario Manningham? I would say start Housh for sure but it looks like hes having back problems and is questionable for this week. Not to mention the fact that Hasselback most likely isn't playing. Keep an eye for how Housh is performing / how his back feels throughout the week. Also pay attention to Hasselback and see if hes starting or if the horrible Seneca Wallace is starting. If either Wallace is starting or if Housh is going to be limited in the game, go elsewhere, but if Hasselback is playing you've got to start Housh. Now the only other guy I really like is Knox. Hes been getting the most amount of targets of any Chicago WR and Cutler is really starting to get a connection with him, given the match-up, start Knox over anyone else. Now if Housh is unable to go, I'd really consider starting Sims Walker because Garrad does throw to him often. That game is going to be high scoring one so I've got a feeling he could bring in 50 yards / a score, while Moss is too risky of a play even against Detroit.

Very tough... I also have Moss and have been frustrated thus far. Looking at your 4 options though, I would still start Moss and also start TJ (even with Hasselbeck out).

The other two are young unproven players who both only have had 1 good game a piece - they are good waiver pick-ups but it's still too early to see if they will remain consistent point scorers.

Help me out...
